Strengths: Graphics, runs vista very well, nice design, good sound quality, connectivity.
Weaknesses: Battery
Summary: I bought this laptop because I needed a cheap one to carry around, I'm impress with the speed and ability to multi task that this machine has, I bought another toshiba (a more expensive one) a few weeks before this one for my in laws and if I have to choose I prefer the cheaper one. To make it almost perfect it should have a web cam and microphone. I'll upgrade to 2 or 3GB of ram because is cheap. I like the ability to connect it to my big tv to watch movies in any format.

overall is a great machine for the price I pay (350 after rebates).

Strengths: Price, Spec. Design..
Weaknesses: Battery
Summary: 2007-12-17 09:31:18 For a pre-build laptop, this is the best one in its price/spec. range. For a limited time CC has it for $200 off (instant, no rebate) so you do the math. It's worthy the money.

Comes with 1GB Ram, 160GB HDD, AMD x2 Duo Core Turion TL-52(Latest one compares to Intel Core 2) and Vista Home Premium (not basic), the performance is great overall.

People say Vista is bad because they never use it, hear the rumors, and it does require higher hardware spec. to run. It's all in this well-built unit. You can't beat the price and performance here. If you know how to do tweaks to the Vista a little bit, it can run it even faster.

Also, from FatWallet people like to get the lowest price but they forget to compare the spec. Yes you can see $399 laptop now, but you get what you pay for. This one, you get MORE than you pay for.

If you still see instant saving on this unit, get it! If not, it still offers great value.

Battery seems the only downside. Overall, it's a 4.8 out of 5 rate!

Strengths: Good overall product quality and value with respect to its price
Weaknesses: Low battery life; low built-in speaker volume; marginal RAM to run Vista
Summary: I have owned this computer for several months now and it has been running smoothly. So far, the 1 GB RAM seems adequate for my applications and I have not encountered the issue which other users referred to as the "black screen of death" in Toshiba's A215 series of laptops. Since I am not using this computer to play 3D computer games, I cannot comment on the adequacy of it for such applications. My only complaints with this laptop are its low battery life and built-in speaker volume. A full charge lasts approximately 1.5 hours at "balanced" power setting and the output volume of the built-in speakers is still fairly low even at full capacity. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this laptop and will recommend it to anyone who is looking for an entry level machine.

Strengths: Low cost and excellent performance
Weaknesses: NONE
Summary: Purchased this product because of the rebates that were offered at office depot for less price. Added one gig ram to my laptop and i am very impressed with this laptop performance.

Excellent graphics and display is great. Seems like battery life is good. I would definitely recommend this laptop.
