Strengths: It's an excellent 2nd video camera, don't plan on using it for evey occasion. It's not made for poorly lit indoor situations but it works like a charm outdoors and in well lit rooms.
Weaknesses: Don't even try to use it as a still camera. The technology has come so far in the last 12 months. Buy this for it's small size and with what you save get a $200.00 still digital camera!
Summary: All in all the JVC GR DVM line was introduced for people that didn't want to lug around a 2 pound video camera. It does have limitations regarding low-light and its still capabilities but for this price and size it is an excellednt choice for digital video. The quality of color and picture is excelent and the fire-wire transfer to your computer for editing makes this a great deal for the computer video enthusaist. More importantly you can actual slip it in your pocket.

I would buy it again in a second.

2 Star ReviewIts a shame that it only has like a 0.5 megapixel ...
Strengths: Its a digital camera and it has a DV port
Weaknesses: Does not work in low ilumination (indoors), hard to use, only 0.5 megapixel CCD.....
Summary: Its a shame that it only has like a 0.5 megapixel CCD sensor, thats not even one megapixel, so the still pictures taken are very bad. The connection to download the pictures is even worst, instead of using a USB port it uses a COM port, wich is very slow. You can only use it in places VERY well illuminated (outdoors) becouse it really sux in low light conditions, you cant see a thing if you are working indoors, besides its hard to use.
