Strengths: 250GB Storage Capacity, 5400 rpm speed, Ultra quiet operation Weaknesses: None so far Summary: Overall, I am happy with this internal Hard Drive from Hitachi. I wanted a large capacity Hard Drive for my 2 year old laptop and I chose this one. As I started serching I found a review that says "Travelstar 5K250, with outstanding power management, delivers the lowest 5400 RPM power consumption, providing longer battery life for notebook users." Sure enough, since I installed this one my laptop became faster, quieter and more battery life. This Hitachi 5K250 is worth the money ! 100% of People (2/2) found this review helpful. Weaknesses: Clickity sounds emanate a lot. Summary: Got it and did a 2 hour cloning of my older smaller drive to this new one. Then I stuck it in my MacBook and started up. Running fine. Except this one definitely makes clickity sounds when in use unlike the quieter 60GB one it replaced. I don't mind as I had one like it in the past. There is no incompatibillity issue at all. This hard drive is also quiet with a similar speed compared to other 5400rpm laptop hard drives from other manufacturers. Other laptop drives I can hook up to a usb device and move slightly. When I do this I can hear the head and the platter grinding. But never with the IBM designed Hitachi.
