Summary: I did a fair amount of research before choosing this Panasonic microwave. I was replacing a 10-year old GE oven and needed to fit a limited space in the kitchen with a microwave having adequate interior space. In particular, I was looking for:
* the ability to fit a full size plate or serving bowl
* at least 1200 watts of heating power (this has 1300) to heat food fast
* simple black (not a fan of stainless steel, which may display fingerprints, nor white)
* well reviewed for reliability
* less than $150
This unit thus far has served us very well and we have only positive things to say, other than that the clock display can be a little weak in bright light. The door has a push-button release (instead of a handle), which we like, and the touchpad controls are straightforward and intuitive. It is quite solidly built and operates very quietly. Overall, a very good purchase.
