Strengths: Excellent clarity. Very quiet in econo-mode. Contrast, brightness is awesome. DVI input a big plus. HD video looks great! Overall an awesome piece of work.
Weaknesses: Hard to mount yourself (mounting screw holes not lined up). A bit expensive for most people.
Summary: I have had very good experience with my new XD-450U projector. It has pretty much everything I was looking for when I began my search. It is very bright, which is good in my case as the room I use it in is well let at times, and has a high contrast ratio. It also has a DVI-HDCP input which will be very important in the future of digital video interfaces. I can't really say anything negative about this product save that the mounting screwholes are in rather funky places. Overall, having used several other projectors previously, I would highly recommend this or the XD400U models if you plan to use it with your TV, DVD player, computer, etc.
