Strengths: Very good resolution and colors
Weaknesses: Not the quality you would expect from Sony
Summary: Even though it comes with a 3Yr warranty, expect to spend a couple of weeks without the monitor plus $35 for "exchange shipping charges" at least every 6 months. Their back light fluorescent bulb seems to die and there is no way to replace it yourself. Very expense monitor and low quality. Don't buy it. In one year I already exchange it twice.

Strengths: Incredible color & clarity. Ease of use. Overall the best digital display of digital photos.
Weaknesses: The monitor gets a little warm near the top of the screen near the vents when left on for a long duration. This is controlled by turning it off when not in use.
Summary: I went to Frys electronics with intent to purchase an NEC monitor in the $750.00 range. While waiting for the sales person, I was standing in front of a display of flat panel monitors, I was watching all of them cycle through their screen savers. This monitor in white trim caught my eye. The monitor looked good and performed well. The digital photos looked much better than all of the rest. I then saw the dark frame model, the contrast of colors with the dark frame model increased the overall clarity and changed my mind on the spot to spend the extra money for the monitor. I have not regretted it once. The monitor is priced up there, but well worth the money. I spent $1100.00 for it and have failed to recieve the $100.00 rebate as of yet. I still feel the monitor is worth every penny. Bernie Sahadi

Strengths: - Perfect Picture (Be sure to use a DVI-DVI with it)
- Dual Input
- Built-in Speakers
- Rugged
Weaknesses: - DVI–DVI Cable not included
- Audio Quality of Built-in is extremely tinny
- Too Bright in Low-Light environment
Summary: Overall, it's a fantastic monitor for the money! The only monitor with a picture better than this has not yet been invented. There is a monitor just as good though -- the white color version of this model

Strengths: Picture quality, excellent text clarity, excellent graphics, DVI and analog, dual inputs
Weaknesses: Price, no included DVI cable
Summary: Excellent clarity. Excellent graphics. DUAL INPUTS. DVI and Analog connections (only one DVI in, dual Analog in capable). Connecting this and any LCD monitor with a DVI cable and DVI card is a must to truely get the speed and clarity benefits of this monitor. Definitely worth the extra money for a card with DVI out. There is a totally differnt dimension with DVI vs analog connection. Two inputs are provided for multiple computers or sources (can use with a ViewSonic tuner for direct TV in). I run this side by side with a Sony G520 (21" CRT), and both the M81 and G520 have superior clarity. The M81 of course take up a lot less space. I highly recommend this display.

Strengths: Ajustible screen with piviot. A lot easier to readjust than my old CRT.
Weaknesses: Would've been nice if Sony had inclueded a digital cord with digital connectors on both ends instead of that bulky adaptor.
Summary: My first Digital Flap Panel. I just hope that one day someone will make an all digital cord to go with it one day. As of today not even Belkin had a cord for the digital layout of my cord configuration.

Strengths: Crisp, brilliant picture. Easy setup and controls,Beautiful design.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: For the discriminating buyer, this is the LCD monitor to own. I would never purchase a regular CRT again. The Sony is sleek-looking and beautifully designed with easy access to all of the monitor's functions. A great piece of equipment. I did a side by side comparison with other LCD brands. Sony was the winner, hands down!!!

Strengths: Excellent picture quality. Very well built. Good OSD menus.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: I would absolutely purchase more of these panels. The quality is unsurpassed and is worth a little extra money over the Samsung and NEC. Controls are easy to use (although its auto-adjustment features make them virtually unnecessary). Two inputs are provided for multiple computers or sources. I highly recommend this display.

Strengths: Ease of setup and quality of image....
Weaknesses: Absolutely none.
Summary: It really is Plug & Play....connected to computer and hit the power button....all settings done by built in processor. It also has a full range of manual settings for the geeks. Has both analog and digital inputs and can support 2 computer inputs at the same time. Color, brightness & sharpness absolutely awesome. I will never go back to a CRT display. A definate AAAA++++ for SONY !!!!
