500 GB Hard Drive. Good price for what you get.
Weaknesses: It is rather loud, but not bad.
Summary: I have been very satisfied with Gateway products. This will be my 3rd product from Gateway to replace my old Gateway Desktop (which still works just fine, but the fan was getting loud and I just decided to update it). I like the fact that you can watch TV through your computer and actually record shows directly onto your hard drive. This can save someone a lot of money from paying for Tivo or DVR services. The nice thing about this is that you can burn things from your hard drive such as your favorite TV show or a football game directly on to a DVD so you don't have to keep it stored on your hard drive.
This computer is great for a student, but I don't think it is quite strong enough for even the basic gamers. Overall, it works smooth and great. However, I wasn't overall enthusiastic when using this computer, but I wasn't disappointed either. This computer was a good buy in comparison to other products in its range and was on clearance through circuitcity.
I bought it mainly because it came with the TV watching capabilities and the monstrous hard drive. If you want to pay a little more, you can buy similar computers at Bestbuy that come with computer monitors, but lesser in quality such as the Athlon processors they often come with. Don't waste your time at the gateway website as they are still selling computers with 40GB hard drives for about the price you pay for this computer. Another nice part about this computer is that it comes with 2GB of Ram that is expandable to 4 GB. I didn't see that much difference from a regular processor compared to a Duo Core that this one is. If you want to spend a little more, you can buy a computer with a Quad processor, but at this price, I think this computer is great for the money I spent.
Definately more than I need in speed and hard drive space and would work for anyone who needs their computer for video viewing, word documents, or internet downloading. Would recommend to buy because it was a pretty good deal.
