Does NOT have S-Video functionality
Strengths: Slim design, low power consumption. Attractive design, Clear picture. 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ration
Weaknesses: Does not have S-Video in OR out. Composite only. The DVD player unit is 16:9 by default (the slave screen has a 4:3/16:9 switch on the side).
Summary: This unit is listed as accepting both composite AND S-Video in and out. It has composite only. The DVD player can only switch between 16:9 and 4:3 when playing a DVD. When using the player as an external monitor to another video source such as a camera or player, it is locked in 16:9 mode. As my DVX100a (camera) has 16:9 output, the feature is useful but I would have liked both the DVD player and the slave monitor to have external switches to select either 16:9 or 4:3 on the fly.
