Strengths: Excellent sound quality

Weaknesses: Absolutely none

Summary: This speaker system is without a doubt, one of the best systems money can buy. Clear, clean, accurate acoustics with plenty of bass. Incredible sound reproduction from any source, (DVD, CD's, ect...) You can also buy additional speakers, (I did), to make it 7.1. I highly recommend this product to a first time user or someone that wants to upgrade to a higher level of listening pleasure.

Great System: Infinity TSS-1100 Platinum 5.1 Home Theater Speaker System

Strengths: The sound quality is amazing

Summary: 2006-07-08 10:47:43 This is our first surround sound system, so I have nothing to compare it to. My husband easily mounted 4 speakers on the walls with the hardware provided in the kit. The sound quality compared to the 2 speakers we were using is simply amazing. We are very happy with the system. If I just had to think of something to complain about, it is purely a vanity issue. I wish I could have mixed the colors of the speakers. The black goes better with our TV/entertainment center and the platinum would have looked better mounted on the walls. But believe me, it is a minor issue. The quality of the sound more than makes up for anything.

Great surrond sound for the price

Strengths: Deep bass, sub blends well with satellites

Weaknesses: Not as nice for music

Summary: If your primary use of this speakers is home theather, you won't find a better set at this price point (around 500 that I paid). I tested about 5 sets before settling on this, adds a bit more punch over their little brother (the 750)

TSS-1100/TSS-1200 5.1 speaker system

Strengths: Powerful solid sounding sub with clear mid range and crystal clear highs from the satellites.

Weaknesses: none

Summary: Infinity has made a great looking and sounding home theater system in the TSS Total Solution System series.

The TSS-1100 is identical to new style TSS-1200. You may still be able to find closeout deals on the 1100 either brand new or factory reburbished for about half or less than half of the newly restyled version the 1200.

Very well built with high tech speaker cones and sub woofer amp circuitry. Sound is excellent, in my opinion much better than the Bose AM16 system although slightly larger. The Dual woofers in each satellite help the bass-midbass and give high volume capability without breakout. The larger sub woofer and more powerfull sub amplifier is what yields better sound experience than the Bose system.

If you can find the matching speaker stands for the TSS1100, they look great, very very solid, with heavy weighted bases so they don't tip. These stands hide the speaker wires and do not have the awkward looking adjustable shafts that universal stands do.

Harmon International nows owns the JBL, Inifinty, and HarmonKardon companies. You get all their expertise, with JBL durability and the famous Infinity sound clarity and naturalness.
