Strengths: Connects easily through Bluetooth after you got it paired, 16 channel, good accuracy, battery life is great (and it's replacable too), comes w/ wall & car charger with Y-splitter.
Weaknesses: Pairing this device might be tricky, kinda pricey, when disconnected inappropriately sometimes the BT stalls, the color doesn't quite blend with common peripherals.
Summary: I've been using this connected to my iPaq h6315 with MS Pocket Streets. It would take 3 full pages if I were to review the software, but hey I'm here to comment on the GPS device. The reason I purchased this was because I think Socket is a big name in GPS business and their products are of high quality. In terms of appearance I was a bit surprised since this little thing has cheap plastic+rubber built. Putting aside cosmetical aspect, the performance is as expected from a good GPS receiver. The GP0820-521 has a descent response time for sure. Disconnecting and reconnecting to this device is easy when performed correctly (I'm almost positive that the glitches come from my iPaq BT stack). In terms of accuracy, there's a few units from the other manufacturers that offer more precision about 2 or 3 feet more accurate. Since I use this for driving, not for hiking, the accuracy issue doesn't really bother me. Last but not least, the car charger has a Y-splitter. And given that this thing has exactly the same power requirements characteristic as my iPaq, the car charger is able to keep both my iPaq and the GPS powered-up. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.
