Strengths: great economical way to provide whole house audio. Easy retrofit to cutouts that I had 8.125" vs the 7-7/8" specified for these speakers. Worked great. Weaknesses: 2-way only. speaker connections could use an upgrade to post connection Summary: A breeze to install once the wiring is in place. Very happy with the product. Sound is great. Strengths: Easy to install, can't beat the price Weaknesses: None Summary: I am using these speakers for rear speakers installed in the ceiling to complete my surround sound. This model is more that what I needed for rear speakers and will be under utilized, but for the price I found on the internet, which was 1/2 the price found at local stores, it was a great bargain. I would recommend them for rear surround sound speakers, but if you are looking for more bass for music listening I would recommend the JBL SP-8C. Weaknesses: I don't have pre-wire for 7.1 Summary: I paid half the price I would have from any retailer by buying online. I was worried how they would install, but it was a piece of cake and it even covered up the existing plate covers from the pre-wire install. For $100 a pair, if you want in wall/ceiling speakers, don't waste your money on a more expensive product, unless you have money to waste and want more watts per channel because you have a large room and can't hear well. Bought a JBL center channel also, EC35, and an E150P JBL subwoofer. Saved about $400 or more by buying through pricegrabber. My wife says to keep the volume down, and it is crisp. Also bought a new receiver as well as a new DVD Player with HDMI upconvert. Next on the list is the Plasma! 100% of People (1/1) found this review helpful.
