The Picture will go out within 6 months Summary: I got this as a Xmas present. The screen went out today, when I started looking online for information I found numerous reviews from other that had the same issue. Target and Radio Shack sell this item. lchite Member Since: Nov 2006 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 5 Months	Cute design --- BAAAD CHOICE Strengths: Cute design, but Weaknesses: Cute design doesn't fit standard kitchen cupboards; Technically inferior product Summary: I've gone through TWO of these units since March 06 - that makes it seven months including two months while the first one was 'being repaired'. Radio Shack will not refund (I SHOULD have checked their return policy!) and Polaroid says, "Tough Luck, Sucker!" Apparently the voltage regulator can't handle any power surge at all. I've been told that power surges probably blew out both units and I should have had them on surge protectors but this is not stated in any information that came with the TV or in the manual. This TV is very difficult to install and it doesn't fit standard kitchen cupboards. One problem that is not the fault of the unit is that an LCD screen is a bad choice for any location where you want to move around and actually SEE a picture. I won't buy from Polaroid again. I called polaroid and they basically said Too bad the warranty is up (90 days!), but for $110. we can replace it.....what so that it can happen again after another few months. I took it to a repair shop (mind you it worked for only 6 months maybe) and they said it needed a new display assembly board but polaroid does not/will not sell internal repair parts. What a waste of money!! We replaced it with a Sony they have a much better warranty. We will NEVER buy from Polaroid again. Summary: I've had mine for almost 9 months now and it still works well. I use it frequently. It is in my kitchen. I have it hooked up to cable. I love it.
