Strengths: Excellent on getting neck hairs. Looks great. Easy to clean
Weaknesses: Price. Trimmer is really small and hard to use.
Summary: I'm a bit of a shaver nut -- I have several from Norelco, Remington, Panasonic, and Braun. While each has some merit, the Arcitec is clearly my favorite. The shave it provides is as perfect as you can get with an electric razor, and better than most blades. The articulating head gets those pesky neck hairs better than any other electric (or blade) I've used. Gentle on the skin as well. However, while it is better than the Speed XL, the latter also provides a very nice shave, and does so at less than half the price. If you're looking to keep costs down, the Speed XL is also well worth consideration. I compared the Arcitec with the Braun Pulsonic. The Braun is also a very nice shaver, but it did not do as good of a job on my neck. The Arcitec was also a wee bit closer. The big caveat is that everyone's face is different. I prefer rotary shavers over foils, but many people prefer foils. The only way to find out for sure is to buy one and try it out. Nearly every major razor manufacturer will refund your money if you don't like the product (Norelco gives you 60 days to try it out; others give you 30 days).
