Strengths: Design, functionality, feel, footprint and ergonomics.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Really easy to use, better than those thumb-ball trackmouse. It has a nice color. Was going to pick this up at Gateway store since they had the best "bottom line price", but looks like they don't offer free shipping, so ended up picking it up at Staples. And since it's an optical mouse, it works flawlessly. I'd recommend for those who wrist issue like myself. Also fun to use.

Strengths: Easy to configure; Allows you to work with clutter.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: If you are seeking a stationary mouse, I would recommend this product. The trackball has a smooth feel and easy scrolls. It does take a little while to get used to not moving the mouse. Great product if you have limited space to scroll a mouse.

Strengths: I am now ordering my third trackball. I can place this Marble Mouse on the arm of my easy chair because it doesn't have to contact a surface. Just fingertip control. I love it.
Weaknesses: Occasionally it falls off the arm of the chair and the track ball comes out, but this new one has an improvement over the first one I had. The ball does not fall our as easily.
Summary: This product does not need a mouse pad. It can be used in a small area on desk because it's fingertip control and it's extremely responsive. It's not available in any of the retail stores in this area. I was glad to find it at Price Grabber.

Strengths: No skipping, easy to install, easy to clean, and it doesn't wear out.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Once you get used to this device you won't like anything else. This works great with all applications including fast paced games. I just purchased my 4th (2-3-2004) marble track ball for a new system. I won't even consider a standard mouse again.

Strengths: Optical, precise, ease of cleaning, good software, inexpensive ($20 at Circuit City, $13.50 online for refurbished), takes up less room on desk.
Weaknesses: Takes a few days to get used to. Resting the heel of the hand on the housing isn't at first very natural.
Summary: I purchased my first Logitech Marble Mouse in December 2003. I purchased it because my wrist was aching from using a "regular" mouse. The Marble Mouse (MM) works so well that (a.) my wrist isn't aching anymore and (b.) just today (1/22/04), I purchased two more MM's through PriceGrabber so I could have one at work and another in the case for my laptop.

The optical pickups do collect a bit of crud but the frequency and ease of cleaning is nothing like a non-optical mouse. With the old mouse's, you had to remove the cover, remove the ball, then try and get the yucky (toe-jam-like) stuff off the rollers - ick. With the optical mouse, when it gets crudded up, just grab the ball & pull it out of the housing, stick your finger in there, wipe off the pickups, blow it out & put the ball back. Cool!

Strengths: USB connectivity, ease of use, programmable features, ergonomics
Weaknesses: None that I can find
Summary: 2004-01-07 15:42:23 I am very pleased with this trackball mouse from Logitech. Logitech makes trackballs that are controlled either by the fingers or just the thumb; I settled on this one because I could not get comfortable controlling the trackball with the thumb. This trackball mouse has exceeded my expectations. There are four buttons, two on each side of the trackball. There is the basic left click/right click buttons, which are comfortable and easily accessible. There are two additional smaller buttons used for scrolling up and down a page. I find this feature very helpful. Also, you can program the mouse to perform a certain function when you push the two larger buttons together, such as open up Windows Explorer, go to the command prompt, etc. Overall, I highly recommend this mouse to anyone interested in a trackball device.

Strengths: Takes up very little space on you desk. Easy to install included software. Simple to use.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: This is my third trackball. I love working with them. They are very accurate and require minimum movement of your hand.

I suffer from arthritis and this is just what the "Doctor Ordered". I would also definitely order again from the vendor.

Strengths: Very precise movement. Perfect for using in an area that is too small for a mouse. Fits my hand well. Easy to control. Easy to change the settings to customize controls.
Weaknesses: Too much extra game software added. Don't really need it. When installing the software you may need to reload just the drivers for it to work correctly.
Summary: It took a day to get used to the feel and action of the trackball but now I love it. Scrolling is much easier than using a mouse with a wheel button. Especially with spreadsheets and long documents. It's a perfect addition for using with a laptop. The touchpads on a laptop can be hard to work with.

Strengths: Smooth ball
Weaknesses: Plastic BAse
Summary: 2004-01-07 22:18:06 all that matters is how smooth that ball is and this one is great. I would have rather it not look so much like my mouse because I would rather my hand stretch out than curl around the base but its better than a regular mouse and I think better for carpel tunnel perhaps. It has a cool back and foward website button for quicker surfing. This product was refurbished but It looked new.

3 Star ReviewThis trackball was bought as a gift for a family m ...
Strengths: Better than a conventional mouse (i.e., you don't need a mouse pad and a large area to move the trackball). Also the connection is quick and easy.
Weaknesses: In my opinion, the trackball was almost to small for the hand of an average man (may be better suited for smaller hand sizes); and as with most trackballs, requires time to get used to.
Summary: This trackball was bought as a gift for a family member and I have only experimented with it. However, for several years now, I have used (and become comfortable with) a Microsoft optictal trackball (which uses the thumb to move the trackball) and I found the Logitech trackball (which requires use of the index finger) to be a little more difficult to master. Also, as stated above, the Logitech trackball seemed almost too small for my hand (maybe with time I would get used to it). Beside that, I didn't find the Logitech to be undesireable to use. In conclusion, I would use almost any trackball rather than a conventional mouse, and the price of the Logitech was more desireable than a Microsoft version.

Strengths: Easy to handle. Do not have to move Mouse all over Pad.
Weaknesses: None that I can find.
Summary: If you are looking into getting a Mouse I would Recomend the Logitech Trackball Mouse. It is far superior then the standard Mouse that comes with your PC or Mac.
