Strengths: clear, loud, easy set up, amazing base, GREAT PRICE!!!!
Weaknesses: longer speaker wire for rear speakers
Summary: Just got these in yesterday..had them on at about 15% and neighbors already started complaining. Clear, clean, deep base..amazing speakers..can't beat the price. I had the base and only 2 speakers connected and they still sound great. These things rock!!!

Strengths: Strong bass and solid sound throughout. Easy to set up. The wired remote is great - adjusts both volume and bass.
Weaknesses: Some distortion at higher volume levels.
Summary: this is the second set of Creative Inspire speakers that I have purchased. My older 5100 set has performed excellently for a few years. This set is at least as good as those and yet with added ease of use. This set of speakers is a good addition to my office system.

3 Star ReviewAbout P5800 5.1 Speaker
Strengths: look nice
Weaknesses: cords are short
Summary: P5800 5.1 Speaker is a good computer speaker system. But it not working for TV unless using decoder. The appearence is good. However the cords are somehow short. It is difficult to set them at a large room.

Strengths: Good value, remote with input, notched speakers, sufficient volume
Weaknesses: Sounds somewhat murky
Summary: I had been searching for a 5.1 surround sound speaker set for the Audigy 2 ZS Notebook card I had recently purchased. After some research, I found that the Creative P5800 speakers would be the best value, at around $40~50.

So far, I am satisfied with them, as they are a good value, and the set comes with a remote with separate volume and subwoofer control. The speakers have notches in the back of them, which allows me to hang them on the wall on thumb tacks.

The sound is somewhat murky; not as crisp as my old 2.1 Altec Lansings. I've attempted to correct this using the subwoofer control but can't find a good balance. The muddiness of the sound is slightly annoying, but not horrible.

Overall, however, if you're looking for a well priced surround sound speaker set, I'd recommend this one.

Strengths: Sound clearity, powerful enough for a normal living room.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: Recommended for the price of around $50-$60.

You need to get a good 5.1 sound card. I use the philips 5.1 external usb sound card with my laptop. It worked really well.

The rear speaker's cable is a little short compared to it power. The controller's cable is also kind of short.

But it is OK to set up for a small living room.
