Strengths: great phone. very small and light weight.
Weaknesses: power cords could be a little bit longer
Summary: I needed a multi-phone system to work w/ my voip. Everything works great, but wish the power cord was a bit longer for where I needed to place the main unit.

Strengths: CLARITY!! No background noise. Multiple ringtones to choose from, including "We Wish You a Merry Christmas". Easy set up. No need for jacks in every room. Intercom, room moniter and huge address book.
Weaknesses: There are none!
Summary: From my understanding they are not making these 2.4's anymore. The 5.8's were a big disappointment and they've already come out with a 6. I'll stay with the 2.4....I know a good thing when I see it!

Strengths: The phones are light weight and compact. Easy set up. Excellent sound quality. The battery is great, can leave it off the charger for a week or so.
Weaknesses: The annoying ringtones.
Summary: These phones are a great value. The phones themselves are very small and compact. The sound quality you get is outstanding. For those like me that tend to not put the phone back on the charger when you are done talking, these are the phones to get. I have left them off the charger for over a week and they still worked.
The only negative that I can find with the phones are the ringtones. Other than that, there aren't any negatives in my opinion. I would definitely buy these phones again!

Strengths: 3 handsets, speaker phone in each handset and at the base, caller ID and answering machine, lighted keyboard, intercom between headsets
Weaknesses: Power adapters do not support world wide voltages (do not support 220 volts), smaller battery
Summary: 2008-02-24 20:02:43 Overall this is a nice phone system to have. I bought it for my family in India. Once I got the power adapter issue for 220V resolved, it worked great. Intercom between each handset and speaker phone in headset is really nice.
Caller ID function did not work in India but my friend told me that there are some differences in how caller ID works in India an US. That may be the reason for it to not work.
There are many features of this phone set. I am impressed with how small the phone base is with so many features. It has dial pad, answering machine, speaker phone, etc.
As an extra bonus this system also came with one headset.
I really liked this phone system. I used it while I was with my family in India (@ 2 weeks). So far so good!

Strengths: excellent phone, lightweight and compact, audio clarity is awesome. get 3 phones and only have one base that needs to be plugged into the phone line!! answering machine and speakerphone too!
Weaknesses: Power cord needs to be longer and it is 2.4ghz
Summary: This phone really does the job that I needed it for. We have a beach condo that has phone line in the living room and the master bedroom, but not one in the back two bedrooms, so this phone allowed us to put the base in the master bedroom and then have the two other units in the back bedrooms!
These phones are 2.4 ghz and my only complaint with that is that it can cause problems with your wireless setup, but it did not cause any problems for us. We get our wireless from somebody in or around the building and the phones and internet all worked good! Power cord needs to be longer on this and all other phones that I have ever bought. In places, sometimes there just isn't a plug close enough to the phone line on the wall.
In general though, this phone will do everything you need it to do and then some. If you are looking for a good phone and need additional bases, I recommend this one!

Good product overall
Strengths: nice phone. multiple handsets, speakerphone, digital answer machine. all-in-one
Weaknesses: 2.4 GHz
Summary: Overall good phones. with all features you need. All-in-One. But if you are using Wifi at home, it may disrupt your network connection. Go with a 5.8GHz phone if that

Strengths: Clarity and distance, plus all the digital features!
Weaknesses: Room monitor feature could be better.
Summary: I've used a 900MHz uniden phone for years, and it was great. Recently since we moved into a bigger home, a multi-set phone is needed. I was originally aiming at the new DECT 6.0 phones but they are over my budget. This phone was on sale at Staples so I give it a try. Turns out the choice was right. It has almost all the DECT 6.0 features except for the freq. being 2.4GHz, possible interefering with my Wifi. However, I've not experienced much noise. The most interference that could be felt was when I walked very close to the router a small static started to appear in the background. Other than that, this phone is wonderful! The distance is almost comparable to my 900MHz, and since it's digital now, it got all the fancy stuffs some of which I might never use: shared phonebook, intercom, call meeting, call transfer, etc. Also, the phone is considerably smaller than my old phones, with good built quality. I think 2.4GHz phones are harder to find now because every store is clearing them out. If you could still get one at sale price, go for it, because the interference with wifi issue was way exaggerated!

Strengths: Several very nice to have features, good voice quality.
Weaknesses: Handset speakerphone could be louder
Summary: This phone is full of features. I had the DTC648 model about 3yrs ago and was very impressed with the features and looks. This phone has all the same good features and more. The features that I love in the newer uniden phones (which made me come back to the same brand) are:
- ease of use with multiple handsets. It is very easy to transfer calls and use intercom.
- speakerphone is full duplex and the other party doesn't even feel that you are on speakerphone.
- room monitoring. This can be a nice backup for your regular baby monitor.
- transferring phonebook entries between handsets. Ideally, I would like to see the entries reside on the base and shared by the handsets, but this is still better than not having anything, though requires some manual process and discipline.
- good voice quality.
- nimh battery. This is probably the default now a days.
- easy to use menu system.
Additional features in this specific model are:
- base speaker phone
- privacy mode. You can essentially disable other handsets while you are on a call and prevent them from joining the call. Haven't used it yet but sounds useful for important calls.
