Strengths: Good sound, Compact, looks nice, comes with batteries!
Weaknesses: doesn't come with ac adapter, doesn't look like a monster 3.5mm cable, but i guess that doesn't matter
Summary: I use it with my iPod and it sounds good! I also tried it with my computer and the same results. It kinda vibrates and moves around on the table due to the bass and stuff but thats ok.. just put it on something or somewhere so it won't move.

Strengths: Portable, good sound.
Weaknesses: Weak bass, no volume control, limited loudness
Summary: These are great portable speakers. Light, easy to carry around, and self powered. The foldable design makes them very easy to pack. It makes it easy to carry the speakers in your briefcase or suit case.

3 Star ReviewMonster iSpeaker - portable speaker
Strengths: Portability, uses AA batteries
Weaknesses: No AC power adapter included, No volumn control of its own
Summary: Bought this unit cheaply after rebate. Not too amazed by it. Its size of a double CD case allows it to be hightly portable. Use of AA batteries is a great plus. For its size (and price), the sound is acceptable. I wish it has its own volume control. It is kind of fragile, just like a CD case, where the hinge seems to be easily broken if overfolded.

3 Star ReviewiSpeaker
Strengths: cheap, portable
Weaknesses: flimsy, no volume control
Summary: I bought it when there was a very good deal online. It was cheap, light and volume output is not bad. The only things that I don't like on this are that the product looks very flimsy and there is no volume control at all.

Strengths: great portability, comes with batteries
Weaknesses: doesn't come with a power cord, although it does have a jack for an ac/dc power source
Summary: Good sound for the price. Try to get a rebate or catch a sale if you can. The speakers are very portable and take up little space because of the way they fold. The sound is pretty good considering their size and portability.

Strengths: Portability. Decent Sound.
Weaknesses: NO adapter included. NO volume control. Build Quality.
Summary: I recently came across these speakers and was pretty happy with the way they sounded. I have other another portable speaker set that sound better than these but for the price I paid, they are very good. Plastic casing is not my favorite thing and unfortunately this has it. The portability and the decent sound of the unit is really what makes this a good buy (at the right price). Very convenient to put in a bag with your Mp3/IPOD player and have your music with you were ever you go. Good for the frequent hotel traveler, camper or business person who wants a little more sound out of their laptop than just the internal speakers. Would have been nice to have an ac adapter but rechargeable batteries will do the job nicely. Good Choice overall.

Strengths: The battery consumption appears to be minimal. Small design and average sound quality
Weaknesses: Did not come with the optional AC adapter. Quality of speakers is suspect.
Summary: This is a handy little speaker for me when I am away from home. The battery life has been suprisingly long. For the price this is a great product. The speaker construction is a little suspect since the materials of construction are a bit flimnsy. THe ability to open the CD style case is nice since it allows for a stereo effect. I also like that the unit is all one piece where other options are typically multi piece or the package is shape in some nonconforking fashion like a bear or a dog. Would have liked to see some adapter for 2.5mm headphone connectors so it could be used with cell phones.

3 Star ReviewDecent
Strengths: Portable and compatible w/ any peripheral w/ a headphone jack
Weaknesses: Wires exposed when opening up the case
Summary: The Monster iSpeaker is about the size of 2 stacked cd cases. Be careful when opening the case to put in the batteries. The wires are exposed and can easily be ripped. The sound is decent considering the size.

3 Star ReviewConvenient speaker
Strengths: Cheap price, convenient items
Weaknesses: No volume adjustment, not fit rechargeable battery
Summary: I purchase this item for my notebook PC. It's very convenient to put in my bag. I would like to adject the voice volume from speaker but no volume adjustment. You need to adjust from the source. When I ran out the batteries from the original package, It's very hard to put the Duracell rechargeable batteries into this speaker. The battery chamber is too small and the original batteries is smaller than comman size.

3 Star ReviewMonster Cable iSpeaker Portable Speaker for iPod.
Strengths: Portability/Size, form, & price.
Weaknesses: Sound quality & materials.
Summary: If you can get these speakers for a really good deal like I did, then go for it. They are OK speakers-nothing special. The size and the double CD case design makes them easy to take with you but the sound quality won't blow you away. The Silver plastic they used to make these feels cheap.

I've always been a big monster cable fan, but I think they need to stick with cables and surge protectors.

Don't pay more than $15 or $20 for them.

Strengths: Small size (about 2-3 CD Jewel Cases), Decent sound, Comes with batteries.
Weaknesses: Does not contain own volume control. Does not come with an AC adapter (There is an adapter hole DC-6v).
Summary: These speakers are for someone who is traveling or would like to hear their music from their mp3 player/laptop in a small room. I do not recommend them for people to use in a car as they would not be able to stand in a moving car. I wish there was an AC adapter that came with it, but there isn't even though there seems to be a plug for one near the on/off switch. Can't say there is anything amazing about it, but it is worth the price you can find it at now.

Strengths: Portable, uses AA speakers (more power/$ than AAA's), decent sound
Weaknesses: fragile, a bit clumsy
Summary: I bought this, glad that it uses AA batteries. I'm very fascinated by the NXT, flat speaker, technology. This is my first purchase of a product using this technology, and I'm not disappointed. The sound is not too bad at all. Mids and Highs come out decently, while bass is lacking, which is to be expected. I didn't even notice the lacking bass until I got another portable speaker set that also has a small subwoofer. Of course, that speaker has better bass response.

I say this speaker system is fragile because when unfolded, the weight is balanced oddly, and the set is not one big piece, but the bulky middle with the two flappy speakers. Not bad for stationary use, but if you have to move it around a lot, its not ideal at all.

I paid: $20

List price: $40+? Not worth it for that price, in my opinion.

3 Star ReviewiSpeaker Portable iPod Speakers
Strengths: Portable, easy to use/set up, overall acceptable product.
Weaknesses: Not the greatest quality, sound reproduction reasonable (but not outstanding).
Summary: I purchased this item when there was a great rebate deal available. Overall, I'm pleased with the product, but I'd caution anyone considering a purchase not to pay very much for this item. It does what it's supposed to do adequately, but this is certainly not a superb quality item. It's inexpensive (and looks and sounds inexpensive), but it gets the job done.

Strengths: Portable, sound is Ok, unique design.
Weaknesses: Weak bass
Summary: These are good speakers for an Ipod. Light and easy to carry around. If you have to travel a lot, it is a nice thing to have. Will have to see how long the batteries will last.
