Strengths: Super clean audio. Connection for anything.
Weaknesses: Lots of instructions. Not for a novice.
Summary: I've had a number of receivers and this is, by far, the best I've ever heard. It even cleans up the video to an old Mitsubishi TV and makes it look brand new.

Strengths: Very good sound quality. Nice powerful receiver for the price.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: This is a very good piece of equipment. Replaced an old Kenwood and so the sound quality with my nice set of speakers is great. Easy to use remote....too bad I have to use a universal with all the stuff I have!

Strengths: Very clean sound; looks nice; extremely versatile
Weaknesses: Takes too long to warm up. Does not produce strong mid-range tones (maybe it's my speakers).
Summary: This receiver has very clean, bright sound. It might even be a little too bright. It is extremely vesatile in that it can be configured to produce several different sound environments in surround mode as well as in good old stereo mode. I've had this unit for several months now, and I still haven't used all of the bells and whistles. The only things that bug me are: 1) When adjusting the volume manually, you must turn the volume knob several times in order to make even moderate adjustments in the volume. 2) The unit takes several seconds to produce sound after you power it on. As a result, you end up just standing there waiting for something to happen. You have to wait several seconds to see if it's too loud or not loud enough. These may sound like nit-picky complaints. But, I am mentioning them because they can be annoying.

As for features, there are too many to mention here. I'll just say that this unit will do just about anything you'd normally want or need from a surround receiver. This unit looks classy. it doesn't look cheap like so many receivers do. (the "brushed aluminum" fad will fade away soon). This black receiver looks great, and will look great for years. Black is still the best.
