Weaknesses: EVERYTHING - slow CD and DVD - freezing problems.
Summary: I bought this computer thinking that it would be a great computer. NOT! The first week I had it, it kept freezing up on me. Every time I called technical support I got some kind of run a round. I finally was able to get a little help after calling several times. Everything seemed to be ok for a while. Within a few months it started freezing up again. I reformatted thinking this would help. It only helped for a short while. Within one month to the end of the warranty the same problem occurred all over again. The processor kept freezing up. Every time I called for support. They kept telling me I wasn't doing something right. I had deleted all of my software programs I put on but it still didn't help. One support tech said that if I still had problems with it they would send out a new one. The next day I had the same problem. I called again and was told there was no record of me calling and no record of anyone saying that they would send out a new one. Instead I was told to take it to a local Radio Shack to have it looked at and repaired. By this time there was only two weeks left on the warranty. A couple day later I contacted Radio Shack and was told that the mother board and the hard drive had to be replaced. This computer was not even a year old. Even after it was fixed with new parts, I was only given two weeks warranty. I still have problems with it and will NEVER buy another Compaq and I would recommend no one else did.
