Strengths: stereo separation, hifi

Summary: I ordered 3470 from Harman on line store. It is a b-stock item and was bought and shipped for $210.00. It replaced a technics SA-GX 505. I was not as blown away as I thought I would be. It is a great reciever but I thought HK used all discrete output devices and when it arrived I looked inside to see a couple big IC's on the output board. I e-mailed HK who responded the next day to say try it out for 30 days if I don't like to sent it back for a full refund less shipping of course. Great service!!!! very kind and helpfull!!! I have been using the crap out of it, and have been comparing it to old receiver. The 3470 is much more hifi sounding than my old technics and sounds much better at low settings. Well it has been 30 days so I guess I am keeping the baby. For $210.00 you cant beat it. I used a pair of bose 901 speakers for testing.
