Strengths: Superb sound, portability, good range of sound accross the board. Eclectic design, ipod cradle is very secure, good connectivity options. Can be run by regular D batteries and will take rechargeables.
Weaknesses: Does not have radio
Summary: I compared about 30 models of docks for Ipod and other mp3 players, I bought four, altec lansing IM7, Bose sounddock portable, polk audio speakers, vers speakers, and the best of those was the Bose of course, but at $400 was too expensive, the others sounded like tin cans, no power, too much sound distortion, no bass. Go figure, I was not satisfied. I finally went to the Apple store and checked this Harman Kardon and the sound was the best of all, I even tried the griffin system and the blimp by B&W those two were priced at $500 and they were no comparisson to the sound of the Harman Kardon. Get it now at harmanaudio.com refurbished with full warranty at only $188. Not bad for a system of this quality, you can even buy two and spend less than one Bose for much better quality.
