cheap and works but annoying
Strengths: Built-in FM transmitter
Plenty hardware buttons
Metal shell
Weaknesses: Miserable original map software
Poor quality buttons
Short battery life
Cold start every time
Summary: I got my device really cheap on last Thanks giving, around $150. After about 1 year use, it definitely helped a lot and very well worth the money, however there are a few annoying problems in the design/quality.
My biggest complaint for this thing is its forced "hard reset" for every power off. So every time you power on the device, it is basically booting the operating system from scratch and load all the software from ground 0. Most if not all other GPS devices based on wince are using standby mode instead of a full power off, giving much better startup performance.
My 2nd biggest complaint if the poor quality of its hardware buttons. You wont feel anything when you press down a button on this thing, you only know when it works. No 'click' feeling, no 'shift' no nothing, it feels like cheap plastic fake button.
After all, this device does work, especially the FM transmitter is a really nice add-on that is normally only found on very expensive units.
