Kingston 2GB PC2-5300 DDR2 DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit

Quickly recognized by Dell 530s running on Vista

Weaknesses: Generic.

Summary: I'm using the memory modules for my Dell 530S running on Vista. Though they are not OEM products, the modules were recognized right away. For those who are used to XP and the message of "The physical memory has changed", don't panic if you don't see this message in Vista. My Computer/ Properties will confirm the memory change.

There are a total of 4 memory slots in Dell 530S, 2 of which were used already. After putting in the two Kingston modules, there will be no room for further expansion unless you upgrade the intalled ones.

Memory

Strengths: dual channel dimms, made by kingston

Weaknesses: none

Summary: I bought this kingston memory for my shuttle box media pc. It works great on the board and i have not had any problems with this memory. The memory went in and was picked up by the motherboard and i had no need to clock it down. I also switched this out to one of my other boxes as I had some bad memory modules on that box. These worked like a charm and did downclock without any problems on that old motherboard.

Definitely would recommend this ram for your boards.

Kingston 2GB DDR2 PC2-5300 Memory Kit

Strengths: Easy to Install. No problems!

Weaknesses: Instructions could be ALOT better.

Summary: I added this Kingston 2GB Kit to my computer running Vista. The computer was using 1GB of memory which I find to be insufficient for Vista. Vista runs better with atleast 2GB of RAM and the more you add the faster it runs. I've been using Kingston memory for awhile now and say they make a great product!

Vista loves it

Strengths: Lifetime warranty, free technical support

Weaknesses: Kingston's value-priced line of generic memory (ValueRAM)

Summary: I took a chance on buying this generic RAM and so far so good; no issues to report. My Dell Inspiron 530 came with 2 DIMMS of 512MB RAM, so adding this makes my total RAM 3GB, which is the limit that will be read by XP and Vista's 32-bit versions. I could have bought faster PC2-6400 RAM, but since the stock RAM is PC2-5300 speed, I didn't think I'd see much real-world difference, plus I saved money going with the same speed. I'm satisfied with the performance and speed of this RAM. I'm also running OSx86 on my rig with no issues. Highly recommended.

Summary: I got this ram and installed without any problem.

The ram is very reliable and stable.

For best performance, 2 G is recommended for Windows vista.

I strongly recommend you to buy this ram!
