Strengths: Great picture and features for people transitioning from analog to digital.
Weaknesses: The black gets dark when viewing in certain lower positions.
Summary: I bought this TV to facilitate the switch to all digital signals next year, and so I can only compare it to the traditional analog TV sets. At first, I bought a converter box, but couldn't program my DVD recorder through the converter box. This LG TV has lots of inputs/outputs to work with, and my DVD recorder hooked up in exactly the same was as my old TV. No audio out, but the sound is better and louder than my old analog set. The picture is far clearer (obviously) than with my analog set, and I get more channels. The colors get darker when I watch it from a lower level, but it's not too bad. Plus, I've read that it tends to be an issue with all of the smaller screens. It's much lighter than the old sets and takes up much less room. I'm glad I selected the larger 23" rather than the 20" - because of the widescreen feature, the vertical measure isn't as large. I definitely recommend this product for anyone debating between the digital conversion box or a new TV.
