Strengths: picture quality, HDMI slots, ability to network to play music and show photos, PQ-- yes the PQ is awesome
Weaknesses: needs some adjustment out of box
Summary: This is a great LCD-- I got it about 1 month ago and have no complaints. The detail on the screen is stunning to say the least-- the 10 bit screen is vivid and shows colors that you won't see on old generation models. HD movies are incredible-- you won't be disappointed. Setting it up so that it can be networked to your home computer is a snap-- and you can play music and watch photos you have taken that are downloaded on your hard drive. Like another reviewer said-- this TV is just as good as the XBR4s and new Samsung 72 and 82s-- except at a lower price.

The only complaint I have is that the TV needs some calibration out of the box-- but this is expected with all LCDs. Calibration may take awhile though- since Toshiba gives you so much leverage in controling the colors with its intricate system...which may be a good thing or a bad thing

Strengths: The 120hz makes watching my favorite sports game, football, a dream. The blurr that comes from most lcds is not even a question in this set. Just go to any box store and dare to compare any other set.
Weaknesses: Some widescreen movies will not take up whole screen. I think this may be because of my DVD player.
Summary: The 120hz eleminates nearly all of the blurr. Plenty of choices too hook up nearly any device. If you like to watch fast moving action shows or football games you need this set. The price is much lower than many of the other sets that have 120hz. This is an excellent tv.

Strengths: Great Picture, built in Cable Card Slot
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I did not think I was going to like the shiney black border around the TV, but I do. It is hardly noticeable and does not reflect light like I thought it might. It actually looks really good. The picture quality is great. The multiple HDMI slots make adding a 1080 DVD player a breeze as well as adding new HD TIVO. I only have two wires for TIVO and a DVD player. I'm glad I did not pay the $1000 extra for Sony's 40".

Strengths: Picture, hdmi 1.3 and 120hz for the price, more settings and ways to tweak than you can imagine.
Weaknesses: Sound (but all seem to have this issue). Bezel size may be of some concern but not if you like that look. Thickness of tv now that slimmer models are on the market. These were not issues for me.
Summary: I bought this tv because it had by far the best bang for the buck. With HDMI 1.3 and 120hz technology it was a good deal. CNET gave the larger version of this tv a 7.9 which was pretty darn good for an LCD. The color of green problem they referred to in the review I could not see. Just a heads up to anyone looking to upgrade to a flat panel tv. These look a lot smaller in the store, I was going to purchase a 46" but am really glad I did not. Go by the recommendations for viewing distance because our 42" looks HUGE when I got it on the wall. I purchased from OneCall and was VERY HAPPY with both the service and attention to detail. I would definately purchase from them again.

Strengths: Very crisp picture. As good as the equivalent high end Sony.
Weaknesses: On some programs there is a yellow column of pixels in the far left, but I don't think it is the TV.
Summary: I've owned Toshiba TVs b4 and have always been pleased. This one-no different. Must have cable box connected via HDMI cable for quality picture. HDMI cable is expensive but paramount.
