Decent Monitor, A Bit Overpriced- Buy the Newer Model
Strengths: Awesome resolution, Decent Price BUT (see review)
Weaknesses: Slightly overpriced, needs more ports, response time could have been better (over average listed in specifications), better customer service and warranty support are needed
Summary: This is an awesome monitor that provides 1920x1200 resolution with a DVI-D input for a decent price for this kind of monitor. HOWEVER, it is still surprisingly near the retail price of its newer model, and it is kind of high for an item with such a slow response time. The response time matters since game developers design games around average response times, and above average times result in more noticeable ghosting and blurring. This should be fine for a few years though.
The monitor is overall awesome, and conceptually, for me, it turned out to look much bigger than I thought it would. WOW was what I thought.
As a warning for other people, some people have had some trouble with overall warranty support from Acer- they honor their warranty, but their level of service in this department is lacking.
And how hard would it have been to add an HDMI port, eh?
