Weaknesses: - the hole on the top of the case is too narrow to thread the camera wrist strap through. - no room for an extra battery or memory chip Summary: This case is the perfect fit for the Canon SD 1000 digital camera. It protects my camera from scratches and stuff from being in my bag. It is small and compact, just like the camera. While this is not the type of case you would want if you wanted to store additional things like a battery or memory card, if you're just looking to protect your camera, this is it. I searched all over for case options but none matched Canon's in looks, quality and perfect fit. If you own this camera, this should be your first option for a good protective case. It definitely complements the sleek, sexy look of the SD1000. The front side is opened with a magnetic flap and the backside has a belt loop for those who wish to use it. The only weaknesses about this case is that the magnetic flap is fairly weak and the hole on the flap (I\'m assuming is used to slip the wristband through) makes it hard to remove the camera when in use. Although there are NO pockets to stash an extra battery, which might be handy, it is a very compact case, perfectly tailored to the Canon SD-1000.
