Strengths: My favorite thing about this stereo is the USB input. The sound quality from the USB input, CD Player, and radio is excellent. It works well with the factory Bose sound system (with PAC adapter).
Weaknesses: The volume from the Aux input is low. The USB input has to "think" for a while between songs on larger portable hard drives and doesn't always resume with the last song you were listening to.
Summary: I'm very happy with this purchase, it looks great and sounds great. The unit has a lot of options for add-ons. I have purchased a steering wheel control adapter for it. Although the EQ animations look cool, the display could be resized so you can see more of the song titles. The button labels are also too small to read when driving. The JVC remote is easy to use.

Strengths: Plays WMA and MP3 CDRs. Audio input jack. USB jack. Lots of nice features. Looks great. Sounds Great.
Weaknesses: Display doesnt have enough characters for song titles but it scrolls ok.
Summary: I havn't seen another unit with a USB jack in the front, just plug a jump drive in and it plays. Nice!

Will accept lots of add-ons like blue tooth phone kits and steering wheel controls.

I have a 2004 Silverado and had to custom make mounting brackets and a face plate because the OEM stereo is larger. I am sure they sell brackets and faceplates somewhere but I didn’t want to wait to install :P
