Strengths: Wide variety of sound capabilities, relatively light weight, easy maintenance.
Weaknesses: Saving settings via the foot pedal is initially hard to figure out. Close, but tube amps still sound better.
Summary: I bought this amp on a clearance sale at our local music store. It is loud enough to play with a full band (e.g. guitar, bass, drums, vocalist) at small gigs. I have not had to set the volume past 4 when playing with a band. The amp also has a headphone jack, so you can practice without annoying the neighbors. I like the Modern setting on the Clean channel (the Vintage setting is too bright for me). On the overdrive channel I usually use the Vintage setting for blues stuff, the High-Gain for classic hard rock, and the Modern setting for metal. The sound of the amp is quite good for a transistor amp. I would expect that at higher volume levels, it might not do as well as a tube amp as that is just the nature of SS amps. However, this amp is relatively light, priced right, and sounds good with lots of built in effects.
