Strengths: Easy setup and nice looking.
Weaknesses: No mute button. Transferring a call is not easy. Handsets are not reliable.
Summary: The phone was used to replace a single line AT&T answering system. It has the majority of the features needed to operate a business (Electronic storing of voice messages, transferring calls, paging, back-lit display, call waiting and call conferencing) , but lacks in ease of use and reliability. The handsets cannot be designated with names (only numbers), so transferring calls is cumbersome. Reliability problems with handsets is listed below. Several handsets have been replaced multiple times, some of the replacements have failed as well. Typical failures have been, not being able to turn on (completely dead), cannot turn phone off, and unit turns on but cannot get an outside line. These problems cannot be solved by re-registering or resetting (removing battery for 30 minutes and re-connecting). The base and handsets appear to be sensitive to noise, such as refrigerators, microwaves and fluorescent lights. Distance is questionable, as I have tried to use within 50 feet of base and still get disconnected. Phones have to be turned in for repair, cannot get replacements before hand. This means you will be without a phone for over a week. Customer service is overwhelmed with calls and sometimes cannot be reached by phone (sometimes answering service will deny access during business hours).
