Strengths: Solid, buttons feel firm. Looks plain

Summary: I recently bought this controller because on my original a couple of the buttons were sticking and the left joystick sometimes gets stuck on the down position (it wasn't detectable other than in GTA the guy sometimes started walking when I wasn't touching anything). Unfortunately the old one started doing this after about only a year.
This one works great.

Strengths: Excellent size, great feel, durable, accurate button placement

Summary: The dual shock 2 controller for the playstation 2 is a great controller. The controller has a great feel to it, not too big for even a child’s hands, and not built of flimsy materials. It is also featured in a various array of colors.
Many of the buttons on the controller are analog which means the controller responds to how hard you press the buttons. It also has the same design as the Dual Shock 1 designed for the original Playstation to keep controls familiar to the upgraded playstation 2. Overall, this is my favorite controller and I cannot think of a better design than playstation has implemented.

Strengths: Smooth operation, sturdy

Summary: I bought this Sony controller to replace a 3rd party controller. I had the 3rd party controller for 1 month and the control sticks broke. They would no longer return to center, which is an amazing pain. I have had no trouble at all with the Sony brand controllers. I won't waste my money on generics anymore.

Strengths: Very easy to use and cool feeling when play action game.

Summary: I just get the PS2 for 2 weeks, and really like its controller ! It is much better than X-box or Game cube's controller! Thans Sony for the awesome product!

Strengths: near-perfect setup, perfect for every game, buttons are good

Summary: This is what you should buy. The controllers from all the third-parties are horrible. This kind of controller should last quite awhile, if you are an average gamer. SONY brand. A must-buy

Summary: great product that only the wiz has for under 24.99. i would buy one even if it was my last penny i was buying it with. if i could recomend a color i would say green

Strengths: It's a Sony product so there's no problem with compatability.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: The Sony DualShock 2 Controller is very comfortable and has a good length cord. I use it with a cord extender and have not problems. The last Sony DualShock 2 Controller I purchased lasted for two years of hard play. The reason for replacing the original controller is because the L1 button started sticking periodically.

Strengths: reliable,affordable price,comfortable shape,it's best answer my purpose and it has a good quality.it's best for who wants a standard equipment.
Weaknesses: it should have different size controller like a x-box. select and start button have to move up. i wish sony makes joysticks too.
Summary: i bought it last night and it's nice as other sony products. if you like standard and genuine accessory, you have to buy it.do not spend your money meaningless.i strongly recommend this controller.

Strengths: Durible, light ,responceve.
Weaknesses: Slippery joysticks
Summary: I found that this controler is the best. I have a third party controller but I found that you need to push the buttons down all the way to get a responce. This controller is durable (I dont know how many times I dropped it) and responds all the time when I tap in cheats. Sometimes in Gran Turismo 4 I find that its easier to use the uttons cause the right joystick gets slippery when I floor it or when I acselerate for a long time.

Strengths: Excellent button response, longievity
Weaknesses: Non-wireless, expensive
Summary: Official PS2 controller is still the best on the market today for PS2 gameplay.
Don't buy 3rd parties, unless you have to go wireless.
Just wish someday Sony could offer a wireless controller like this and I will be all over it.

Strengths: Perfect weight, and perfect construction

Summary: Don't see why you'd ever buy an inferior brand controller when the Sony ones are so perfectly made and comfortable. They have the rumble in them, the cords are nice and long. There is no reason to buy an inferior controller, they just break anyways. Get This One!

Strengths: The best overall controller of any console on the market.
Weaknesses: Not wireless, D-pad not connected, fingers can slip off analog.
Summary: This is the original black Dual Shock 2 that I bought with my PS2 at launch and it's still ticking! Without a doubt this is the best controller on the market, perhaps in video game history. Only the SNES pad comes close, which the Dual Shock 2 owes much of its inspiration from. The button placement on the face and shoulder are just perfect. The size of the controller is optimal and it's just plain comfortable. The rumble vibration is just at the right level, not too strong (like the Xbox) and not too weak (like the Gamecube). It's a very well balanced controller for the majority of gamers out there. There are a few nitpicky things I don't like about it - mainly the D-pad is not connected like a cross, you have to stretch your thumb somewhat in order to reach the analog stick (unlike the Xbox) and the analog sticks are rather slippery (it's easy to lose your grip sometimes). But these are just minor things and most people don't even seem to notice this minor faults. This is the most versatile controller for any genre of game and no one should be without. Skip the crappy third party controllers and get this.
