Strengths: Picture quality, 1080p, Automatic set up, Ambilight, number of inputs, sleek design, price tag, on screen menu, Philips customer service, perfect pixel hd, QAM TUNER.
Weaknesses: Sounds is good not great. Remote is sluggish for 10 seconds after start up.
Summary: This TV is an incredible buy. I was so shocked when I saw that it was priced for $2069 at best buy. Surely, a 1080p 47 inch LCD tv is not that cheap. But it is, you will not find a better TV. At the store the Samsung TV next to it, was 46 inches, and 1000 dollars more expensive, but looked worse.
The PQ of this model is incredible. Philips is putting the Perfect Pixel HD in all it's high end models (lower end will continue with Pixel 3).
It automatically sets up the best PQ for you. It splits the screen in two, and you go through a series of "questions" where you pick what looks best for you.
The ambilight truly does help present a better video atmosphere. At first I was skeptical, but it really does perform as advertised. If I turn off Ambilight, my eyes begin to immediately hurt (especially at night).
If you log onto audio video forum, you can get in touch with two of Philips product engineers for direct support and input. They release firmware updates exclusively on that site, and your input nets real results. Their customer service is great!

Don't spend your money on an expensive unit from the top S's (Sony, samsung, sharp).
Philips and Samsung make their LCD's together.
Buy the philips, save your self $1000, get a bigger TV, better input and PQ, and better customer service.
