Strengths: Graphics, teams.
Weaknesses: None really, the gameplay is rather slow.
Summary: I rented the game for one week, then had to buy it. EA really hit the spot with FIFA08, I love the new manager feature. The graphics are excellent, although it is kinda hard to top FIFA07's. Definitely better than the new PES.

Strengths: smooth controls, realistic gameplay
Weaknesses: weird AI issues at times
Summary: 2007-10-21 19:06:56 This is the first soccer game I've really played and it seems to be a great translation of the real thing. There are a few weird things that go on at times, like the computer dribbling the ball straight out of bounds when no one's really gaurding him, but other than that, the controls are really smooth and flows naturally.

Strengths: Excellent graphics Finally added more teams Great new be a pro mode
Weaknesses: Steep learning curve Difficult to juke
Summary: I have been playing FIFA since 1999. They have definately stepped up their game for 2008. The graphics are great, the new be a pro mode is fun (kind of hard though) and they FINALLY added more teams. Be warned though, this FIFA is harder than FIFA's in the past. It will take youa while to figure it out, but it is well worth your time!

Strengths: appeals across the board to young men
Weaknesses: expensive
Summary: My grandson had this game as number one on his list for Christmas. It was difficult to find because it had been sold out at some of the stores. Fortunately, because of the internet, I was able to order it at Circuit City and pick it up locally. It's great to give a gift that I knew was going to be appreciated.

Strengths: Number of teams, graphics
Weaknesses: Realistic play (comparatively)
Summary: I have been playing the Fifa series for the last few years and each it year it gets better. And by better, I mean the graphics. Now that it is finally on Xbox 360 (Fifa 2007 doesn't count), the graphics are crisper and more realistic. The details on each player's face and resemblance to the actual players themselves is impeccable. EA has always done a good job with the graphics and it shows in 2008. Fifa 2008 also includes many teams that were lacking in the Xbox 360 version of Fifa 2007. In terms of gameplay, EA continues to slowly improve but it still falls behind that of Winning Eleven. That is not to say that gameplay isn't good; it's just not as good as Winning Eleven. However, with the dual stick dribble controls, Fifa is definitely getting better. If you are fan of soccer and don't really care about being realistic and want the full experience, get Fifa.

Strengths: plays realistically
Weaknesses: weird AI a few times
Summary: This is my first soccer video game I've bought, and overall it's an excellent translation of the real thing. It plays realistically and the controls are natural and smooth. There were a few moments where I saw the AI do some weird things like dribble right out of bounds with no one going after him, but other than that I like this game.
