Strengths: Affordable, Compact, Nice looking glossy piano black frame, and stunning PQ. Internal upconverting DVD player. QAM Tuner. multiple HDMIs
Weaknesses: Lag in channel switching when inputting channel number. No CC button on remote.
Summary: Got my first HDTV for a very affordable price, it looks unbelievably stunning. QAM Tuner allows me to get HD channels, without any cable box, right from the wall outlet in my apartment. Channel switching lags when inputting number unless enter is pressed (which is way down on the remote), but works fine when choosing up and down. I use the favorite channels feature to switch channels which works fine as well. On screen menu is easy to navigate. Remote doesn't have a CC button, although I wont consider it a big flaw. 3 HDMI inputs are perfect for Xbox/PS3, HDDVD/Bluray player and a media center PC. The internal DVD player is also superb, it not only plays and upconverts DVD but also plays Video CD, JPG and MP3 cds. I didn't purchase this TV because it has DVD player though, but it's on sale and cheaper than the standalone same-size Toshiba LCD TV. I would definitely recommend this TV to everyone !

Strengths: great HD picture quality; good analog picture quality; good bright/black contrast;small frame edge; upconverting DVD playback. signal meter display for HD channels
Weaknesses: can't see DOS display during bootup for PC HDMI hookup
Summary: This is a great value. The upconverting DVD is an added bonus. I tried an EMPREX 32" TV from Fry's. This TV blows away the EMPREX. Although analog TV is going away, for hooking up to a sat top box, I still use the standard definition input. The picture looks good on the TOSHIBA(the EMPREX one really struggled with the analog signal). The contrast ratio is not list in the TOSHIBA specifications. But I can say that the contrast is outstanding. Black color shows as real black.
When changing channels, the over-the-air HD shows a small bar chart with the signal level. This is a nice feature. The sensitivity for the HD reception is very good for this TV. I have a LG HD receiver for another TV, I have to use an amplified antenna for that one. For this TOSHIBA TV, I could use a piece of stripped coax and easily picked up all the channels.
The physical look is sleek. It has a very small frame around the LCD. The TV came with the table stand unassembled, but you can easily put it together. If you plan to mount it on a wall, it has stand-size holes in the back.
Another nice feature is that it has an audio-in input (you will be surprised to find how many TVs do not have this feature). You can hook up the PC audio out to it without the need for a separate set of speakers for the PC.
The only draw back is when I use it as a PC monitor, the bootup DOS display does not show. I use a DVI-HDMI cable to hook up my PC to one of its HDMI inputs. Nothing showed up untill Windows started booting. It is not a show stopper, but more of an annoyance.

Strengths: This TV's built-in QAM Tuner enables you to receive some HD Digital channels without the need of a set-top box.
Weaknesses: None!
Summary: 2007-10-05 14:45:17 We are awed by the picture quality -- specially on the HD Digital channels. DVD playback quality is simply outstanding -- try playing one of the Pixar animated movies and you will see (and hear) what we are talking about!

Strengths: well made and easy to assemble, internal dvd avoids wire clutter, quiet and works well, dvd picture quality excellent, cable very good, location of speakers on strip below lcd display decreases tv width.
Weaknesses: remote has no back-lit touchpad, only glow-in-the-dark. a slight delay when changing tv channels by directly inputting numbers. Can avoid by pushing "enter" after number. speakers average sound.
Summary: 2007-10-31 15:05:43 I purchased this Toshiba tv because of the dvd combo feature and I wanted to conserve bedroom space. Good quality for very reasonable price. DVD player works very well. DVD picture is excellent and regular cable picture is very good. LCD screen very good at avoiding light reflections from windows/lamps. Viewing angle is good. Connectivity options are great (2 component, 3 hdmi, 1 s-video, etc.) and easy to access on back panel. Dedicated buttons for picture mode and picture size very convenient. Remote and on-screen menu are easy to use. See strengths/weaknesses for other comments. I would recommend this tv to anyone looking for excellent value--quality/price.

Strengths: HD looks amazing, especially from the Xbox 360. Built-in DVD player looks/works great, as well. SD content looks better than average and the menu system is very intuitive.
Weaknesses: Arguably the built-in DVD player, as when it breaks what else will be broke with it...?
Summary: I've only had this TV for a few days, but I firmly believe that it's an outstanding TV! I paid about $518 plus tax for this LCD (Slickdeals.net, for the record). I looked at a similar panel at Best Buy side-by-side with cheaper brands (Dynex, Insignia) and more expensive brands (Sharp, Sony, Samsung) and this was without a doubt the best value for the money. Viewing identical HD content on each TV, the colors and quality of the images were better than the cheap brands and on par with the more expensive brands. I was especially interested in the side-by-side with the cheaper Dynex 32" ($405 after coupon, another Slickdeals special). Hands-down this TV absolutely destroyed the Dynex and was well worth the extra money. So far, I have hooked up this TV to my 360 and Wii via component, and both look outstanding! Call of Duty 4 is a special treat! I have a server computer running Windows XP that I've hooked up to the VGA input, which also works flawlessly. My Motorola cable box uses composite and works great, too. I have this TV hooked up to my Onkyo HT-R510 receive via the digital output and sound is excellent! The built-in tuner is nice, as it will scan and find all the digital and analog channels from your provider. I was even able to receive the local channels in HD even though I don't currently have HD service. If I lived in a more urban area, I could receive even more HD channels with an over-the-air antenna. I was able to easily configure my Logitech Harmony 676 remote to use the TV. With a simple press of the button, everything turns on as I've set it. I highly recommend this TV to others, as now my parents want to buy one after seeing mine!

Strengths: Beautiful, bright picture, several picture size and brightness options, decent sound, convenient built-in DVD player.
Weaknesses: Remote can turn cable box on and off and change channels, but not access on-screen program guide so still need to use two remotes.
Summary: I bought this TV a few weeks ago for a killer price and couldn't be happier. The picture is bright(with no prompting, my seven-year-old son has commented on how bright and beautiful the picture is), there are several viewing modes to choose from(size and brightness)and it's the perfect size for a bedroom. Even though I wouldn't mind picking up an antenna to get take advantage of the TV's HD capabilities, SD still looks pretty darn good.
I've wanted a flat-panel for our bedroom for a long time, but I've also wanted a DVD player. With limited space in our armoire, this was the perfect solution. We've watched a couple of DVDs, and with upconversion, they look great.
My only complaint(a minor one)is with the remote. You can program it to control a Motorola cable box, but it can't access the on-screen cable guide, so you still have to have both remotes lying around. I guess, since we watch cable most of the time, I'll try to program the cable remote to operate the TV and break out the TV remote when viewing DVDs. Definitely not the worst scenario I can think of, given everything else that's great about this TV!
Definitely recommended!

Strengths: The included DVD player is a tempting space-saver, and it comes with the magic buzz word "upconvert". The TV is terrific, with a great HD picture, vibrant colors. Great quality and value!Built in QAM HD receiver works great with COMCAST.
Weaknesses: Less than stellar fast motion and camera pan viewing for sports. This is a common LCD complaint but Toshiba does advertise "CineSpeed" which is supposed to address this. With a 8ms response time, I expected some motion blur. For me it's acceptable but
Summary: For the money you can't go wrong if you're in the market for a smaller LCD set. We find the built in DVD player handy and it reads scratched rental disks very well. You can get the same set without the player for about $60 less.
Overall I am happy with this TV. It is great for hanging on the bedroom wall because you do not need a place to put a DVD player since it is built in. Also, the picture quality is good enough. However there are a couple of things I don't like, only one of which is really Toshiba's fault. For one, if you want to watch digital or HD cable or satellite, you still need a decoder box, so there goes the clean setup of just putting the TV on the wall and being done with it. And if you want high definition DVDs (bluray) then you would need an external player anyway, but of course none of this is Toshiba's fault. The main problem with this TV is the PC input. Sometimes I have movies on my laptop that I would like to play on the TV. However the PC input is almost worthless. This is a 16:9 TV, but the PC input only supports 4:3 inputs on the PC input. So there are always black bars on the side, and in the PC input mode you can't stretch the image. So if you are watching a 16:9 movie on your laptop and you hook it up to this TV, you get a very small widescreen movie in the center of the screen surrounded by mostly black. Many other TVs (like Samsung) are not like this and support 16:9 on the PC input.

Strengths: Hi-Def 32" LCD TV with built-in upscaling DVD player. Beautiful trim and great stand for sitting on a TV or coffee table. Great remote!
Weaknesses: Wall mounting requires adapter plate as TV does not have true VESA hole mount pattern.
Summary: We've been enjoying this bute for about 2 months now and it has performed flawlessly. At first I was opposed to getting a combo with TV and DVD built together, but now I love it. The kids can easily work both devices and having the one remote simplifies things even more. The picture is one of the best I have seen, and makes my 42" Plasma look like old technology. Other than not having a true VESA mount there is not much to dislike in this TV-DVD combo set. Just be aware, that if either component starts giving you trouble, you may in the end have to replace both.

Strengths: Immediately starts the DVD player when a DVD is inserted into the player. High quality picture, excellent color and brightness. Great sound.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: This product was purchased for elderly in-laws to replace analog TV. Built-in DVD player makes this product easy to use for technophobes so there is one less remote control to learn. Only challenge for them is remembering how to switch back to TV mode from DVD. Great for watching movies on DVD discs and sports on broadcast HDTV. Easy connection for wireless headphones. Tuner easily found both digital and analog channels.

Strengths: Price, QAM Tuner, DVD Player, Appearance
Weaknesses: Standard Definition takes a little getting used to on an LCD screen
Summary: Overall I have been very pleased with this unit. We have it set up in the bedroom and it is the perfect size. The included DVD player really helps to save space. The built in QAM tuner is a must for any flat panel TV. The HD pictures are great. Even the standard definition is better than most. One nice feature is the resizing of the picture on the screen automatically. The TV will detect the image and show it as it is meant to be. I prefer this instead of the streched look where everybody is short and fat.

Strengths: Great picture, loving the built in dvd player, 3 HDMI inputs, decent sound quality.
Weaknesses: Nothing I can think of for right now.
Summary: This is my first HDTV I have ever bought, and I got it for a steal (which was why I drove one hour to buy it). I play a lot of xbox 360 and watch a lot of movies on this TV. The picture quality is awesome. I compared this to my friends 1080p vizio and would still rather stick with this.

Strengths: Great quality picture, very powerful over the air tuner.
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: This is my first HDTV. It is very easy to install. Even without proper antenna (aluminium foil) I am getting beautiful HD signal over the air. Having an upconverting DVD player is a great plus. I just wish it supported divx too, so I have to keep my philips dvd/divx player. But that is too much to ask.

Strengths: the wonderful black (both the LCD TV in action and the frame - looking very nice), the decent surround sound, and the convenience of the DVD player (and the fact that it's actually cheaper than the identical model without DVD (32HL67U).
Weaknesses: I haven't even found one.
Summary: The Picture is fantastic for HD Stations...you may need to play with the old analog stations a little as far as resolution is concerned. Takes a little getting used to the remote but for me as a bedroom TV I couldn't have asked for anything better at this price point.

Strengths: Fantastic picture, deep black, DVD player built in
Weaknesses: DVD Player eject disc on side of TV
Summary: I really enjoyed this LCD TV. The color is sharp and the black is really black. It is not too thick and the remote is intuitive. The built-in DVD player is very nice addition since there are no extra wires to connect. It upconverts so your regular DVD movies will look great as well. Since the DVD player ejects disc on the side, you have to make sure the side of the TV is not placed next to anything or you can't have access to insert the DVD. Overall a great HDTV and DVD player combination.

Strengths: TV/DVD Combo - Great for wall mounting and limiting the cord tangle
Great Picture
Price
Weaknesses: None So Far
Summary: Purchased at Circuit City on Clearance for about $515 and can't beat it. Blows the "entry-level" HDTVs out of the water. I have it on the wall in the Master Bedroom with 3 large south facing windows and I have no problems seeing the picture on sunny days. I would recommend this to anyone.
