Strengths: They sound great, inexpensive, look cool.
Weaknesses: No volume control for headphone jack, also some say the bass is to high but it's fine for me.
Summary: These are great speakers, love the subwoofer, they would be flawless except for the volume control doesn't change the volume if your using headphones. I can't beleive Logitech did would miss somthing that big.

Strengths: Great price, good speakers, above average subwoofer.
Weaknesses: Not any particular for the price.
Summary: A very good 2.1 speaker set for anyone who wishes to use this for MP3, video games and DVD/Divx watching. They are very good for anyone who is not looking for top notch speakers that would bring down the windows, but decent speakers that have clear sound, a strong bass, and a slick look.

Overall: A very good choice for beginners and standard users, more advanced users might look for Z3000 or other Logitech models, possibly 5.1's.

Strengths: Most economical 3 speaker system available at CompUSA. Excellent sound quality and pulse-pounding bass. Sub-woofer has independent volume control. Sounds comparable to $300 Bose iPod Dock.
Weaknesses: Might not be loud enough from some large rooms/commercial applications. (But is fine for me because I live in an apartment)
Summary: Today I decided to buy speakers so that I could listen to my iPod at home. Since my CD boom box didn’t have input ports and it was a whole $20 when It was new, I decided against the AirPort.

That left me with choose between an iPod speaker dock or using computer speakers. I looked at the iPod docks at the Apple Store last week and was taken aback by the high price. Genevieve, the Apple Store Representative recommended the Bose iPod Dock for $300 last week.

I then remembered that computer speakers were considerably cheaper, so I decided to pay CompUSA a visit. I decided on a three speaker set, because I am well aware that cheap computer speakers tend to sound tinny, but figured that spending more for two tweeters with a sub-woofer would help eliminate that tinniness.

I bought the Logitech X-230 for $50, they were not hooked-up for in store demonstration so I sort of took my chances. When I got home I hooked them up and was in for a room shaking experience. They are anything but tinny! The Sub woofer has an independent volume control so when I feel like the nightclub sound system effect I can turn up the bass, but for everyday listening I can keep it midrange.

The Logitech X-230s are well worth the $50 and compare very well to the $300 Bose dock. Plus since the Logitech Speakers have a mini jack, they can be used with TV and computer uses not available with the iPod Docks.

Strengths: Very clear, with wide channel separation. Desk speakers take up very little desk space and can be wall-mounted. Subwoofer, desk speakers are very good for the price
Weaknesses: desk speakers are very directional. they must be on your desk or otherwise positioned about ear-level to hear all of their output
Summary: These speakers are a very good value and would be a good choice if you want good stereo sound for music but don't have unlimited money to spend. When they're positioned right they give me best sound out of any audio equipment I have. The subwoofer produces more than enough base; I only have it up to about 1/4 to 1/3 of full and I'm getting all the lows I need. The desktop speakers are clear and bright. Because of the way they are angled on their stand, they really need to be placed on the same surface as your monitor unless your lucky enough to able to wall mount them at ear-level and still reach the volume and power switch that is mounted on one of them. That's not too much of a draw back though because they're only about 2 1/2" wide. Plus they're not so tall that they are unstable and fall over. I shopped online for about a week before I settled on this system and I'm glad I did. There might be better speakers for big bucks, but for what I paid, they're either the best or close to it.

Strengths: Good looking units. Very easy to place and connect. Good sound production. Highs are excellent and the subwoofer is clear. Good volume for a small room and individual listening while surfing.
Weaknesses: Somewhat shallow in the mid-range, but can be corrected by using the software equilizer and increasing the preamp.
Summary: Have only the built in speakers to compare ( eMac), so these are a great improvement! Do not see how the performance to cost ratio could be any better. "Logitech" is a known quantity, and their reputation is good with other products. Highly recommend this speaker system.

Strengths: Gorgeous sound quality and especially powerful bass. Very good choice for people who enjoy clear subwoofer sound at small space like home or private office.
Weaknesses: Until now, I can't find any problems.
Summary: Four years ago, I used the early version of 2.1 channel speaker of Logitech and was satisfied. This time I didn't hesitate about buying 2.1 ch speaker between several brands.

Under $50 price, this X-230 is very reasonable. Appropriate size of two speakers and subwoofer saves space and earphone jack of a satellite speaker is convenient.

Most of all, good looking and gorgeous sound.

Strengths: Crisp sound, utilizes FDD technology, powerful bass, wall mountable, easy to set up, no software needed just plug and play, and a nice sleek black look.
Weaknesses: None to date.
Summary: Would please audiophiles and the regular user. This is an exceptional product especially if you can get it in the $30 range. I could tell immediately, after upgrading from my stock speakers to this one, that it was a vast improvement in quality, looks, and sound. It has surpassed all my expectations from the very first moment I heard sound come out of it. Make sure you find it for a good price, some places will charge you $40-$50 but if you look around carefully you could bag one for $30 shipped.

Strengths: Good sound, adjustable sub-woofer, excellent value
Weaknesses: No microphone jack extender
Summary: These speakers are an excellent value if you are looking for good solid sound from your PC. Most computer speakers sound weak, but Logitech's sub-woofer on this set really delivers. At rms 40 watts, this system won't blow you out of the room, but it produces a very nice sound at moderately loud levels for DVD's, games and music. The sub level is adjustable so you can customize the sound and the speakers have the standard volume adjustment and headset jack. I'm probably being picky, but it would be nice if it had a microphone jack extender. These are a great value.

Strengths: High-quality sound for a great price, attractive design.
Weaknesses: Cord to source could be longer.
Summary: I use these speakers with my laptop computer mostly for music and so far they've been working great. The sound quality is highly respectable considering the price. Good if you're looking for some quality, affordable speakers for your computer, not great if you're looking for a truly high-performance sound system.

Strengths: Good sound, good price, and good service
Weaknesses: I like more watts...hehehe more power more power
Summary: The product is well built, for its size it will get the job done. I like 100w + speakers better. The merchant is great to do business with and I would do business with them again. Servce was on time and product arrived in great shape. I think I should have ordered 2 of them.

Strengths: This speaker has a slim design to save space. The design itself is also pretty "futuristic" looking. The sound quality is pretty good.
Weaknesses: You can't turn the subwoofer off.
Summary: I'm not a big expert on computers, so I can't say much on how great this speaker may be, but in my opinion, this speaker does not fall behind any of the previous ones i have owned. I found it a great deal for the price. The only thing I can complain about this is that the subwoofer doesn't turn off. All you can do is put it on as low as you can, but you can still feel the vibes.. It's great when you want your music booming, but if you are a quiet listener, it personally got annoying for me sometimes.

Strengths: Price, look, bass, brand
Weaknesses: A little "muddy" at first; also quite directional
Summary: This little system is great, as are most logitech components from my experience. They're a little muddy at first, but everyone has SOME kind of EQing, even if it's just MP10, and that will even do the job (I use Jet Audio with add-ons as my PC player). I was going to get the Klipche's for about $130, but I intend to buy a SC for $100, and I think these will sound even better then. If you're on a budget and need damn good toons that can fill a medium sided room, just get 'em, you won't be dissapointed. If you're looking for a complete system, then save up and buy one. Otherwise, just get this, it will definately hold its own in $$$, and you should be quite pleased.

Strengths: Excellent Price Good sound if positioned correctly Low Profile speakers don't get in the way
Weaknesses: Sound is a bit "off" if not positioned correctly.
Summary: I bought this for my father, who has a home office but likes to listen to music while working. I chose mostly for the price, as he does not need a 5.1 sound system to just listen to this music. For the price, these speakers can not be beat. They work well IF positioned corrently! If you put them too close together or too far up, you lose a lot of the sound. He is very happy with them and logitech always makes decent stuff.

1 Star ReviewBOOM BANG KAPOW!!!
Strengths: Lots of bass!
Weaknesses: Too bassy. I hate bass. Why does everyone want bass?
Summary: Would rather listen to a dog barking at 4am on a Sunday. I don't know why people are concerned with the amount of bass and not the quality. Does anyone listen to real music these days?
