Strengths: 2-2-2-5 timings, Lifetime warrenty.
Weaknesses: None that i can find
Summary: This RAM is just plain awesome. Ive used ram from GEIL, Kinston, Crucial and others and this OCZ ram tops them all. I dont think i will ever use ram that isnt OCZ from now on. I burnt up my memory while overclocking and RMA it with no questions asked. Turn around service was fast as well!

Strengths: great memory for gaming and worked great when starting up my pc for the first time.
Weaknesses: not the ultimate for overclocking, but good
Summary: I bought these thinking I was going to have the ultimate gaming machine and these were great. I read up on what parts to get and these were at the top of the list. OCZ memory especially the platinum are great with DFI lp mobo. I found out that there was even better memory than this I was surprised.
Don't get me wrong though, these are the best bang for your buck in my opinion. So, if you get a chance to buy these make sure you do. I even talked my friend into getting these, but make sure you only get a pair, don't get 4x 512 otherwise when you insert them into you mobo they are downgraded to DDR333. then you just wasted your money on buying this package.

Strengths: Can maintain stock timing of 2-2-2-5 while moderately overclocking. Cool running with super and nice looking heat spreaders. Long and proven track record. Lifetime warranty.
Weaknesses: Pricey at this point in time.
Summary: In my humble opinion, the OCZ EL Platinum Rev. 2 is the best memory I have ever used in my years of building custon and specialized computers. It is faster and more stable when overclocked than anything I have ever used. You can't go wrong with this product.

Strengths: One of the top ranking overclocking memory kits around. Life time warrenty. CL 2-2-2-5 latency
Weaknesses: pricey
Summary: This ram overclocks very well. At around $200 for a pair of 512 sticks of memory, this was well worth it. the lifetime warrenty keeps me from worrying about overclocking too fast and hard. This ram is very stable uses the Samsung TCCD chips. I chose this ram over the ocz 3700 gold revision 3 because although the 3700 gold is faster, the 3200 platinum outperforms all other ram that was tested and reviewed on anandtech.com

Strengths: Great performance. Runs at ultra low 2-2-2-5. Super stable. Great brand and warranty you can trust.
Weaknesses: High priced.
Summary: It's expensive but I felt the stability and performance would be well worth the cost. And it has been so far! OCZ can definitely be trusted to deliver well tested and high performing memory. The platinum line is just the best of the best in my opinion. And compared to how other, more prestigious brands are priced it's not such a bad deal in any case.

Strengths: Incredible lifetime warranty covers overvolting to 2.9 volts. Noticeably faster than standard DIMMs. Beautiful mirror finish on heat spreaders. Worth the price.
Weaknesses: Price might turn some people off.
Summary: If you are an overclocker, this is the perfect choice for memory. The superlow stock latencies allow for plenty of headroom when increasing FSB settings, and the lifetime (!) warranty covers up to 2.9 volts. Although appearing pricey, these facts make this a superb value in actuality, over the long run at the very least. I will never go back to "vanilla" RAM, and from now on will never buy another brand but OCZ.

Strengths: Performance, overclocking, lifetime warranty
Weaknesses: Price
Summary: I highly recommend this RAM. It is way better than Corsair XMS performance wise and overclocks better as well. This RAM is awesome for overclocking and with 2-2-2-5 latency settings it is the best ram around.

Strengths: 2-2-2-5 is very nice, great bang for buck ratio, even today. Decent window for overclocking without voiding the warranty. Runs cool for its settings, looks great, but runs even better!
Weaknesses: As a Dual CHannel 1Gb kit, may cause problems if you try to get another kit to fill up 4 memory banks (as mentioned before) your system may bump them down to 333 instead of 400.
Summary: The 333 bump down COULD be fixed by setting the RAM back to 400 via your BIOS (ASUS-SLI Deluxe offers such a setting). Each system is going to be different though, so baby steps to be sure when tweaking.

Strengths: Able to overclock very well with relaxed timing. The RAM kit was very stable in Memtest86.
Weaknesses: Not 2x1GB, but still plenty.
Summary: OCZ has a lifetime warranty and their support is great; you can either e-mail or go to their official forums, and the official technical support will respond very quickly. They also RMA without hassle. It is a great product at a great price and I'm glad I purchased it.

Strengths: Awesome brand name. Fast!
Weaknesses: Expensive, but becoming cheaper.
Summary: This is one of the best 1gb kits of RAM that money can buy. Latency of 2-2-2-5 at ddr400 and this RAM overclocks very well. It's pretty expensive, but it's worth it. Nice heatspreaders make it looks awesome. Highly recommend this ram.

Strengths: Latencies as low as CL 2-2-2-5. Rated to handle up to 2.9V without invalidating the OCZ Lifetime Warranty.
Weaknesses: none yet!
Summary: The platinum series are always OCZ's highest end ram chips that deliver the best performance. This memory is able to reach latencies as low as CL 2-2-2-5 and rated to handle up to 2.9V without invalidating the OCZ Lifetime Warranty so that performance enthusiasts can tweak their systems without worry. I have had no issues with this DDR Memory even at the most aggressive timings on my MSI Neo2 Platinum board.
