Strengths: Fast CPU - Big Hard drive - Light weight
Weaknesses: 4200 rpm HD
Summary: I got this laptop as soon as it was released. Mainly for the T7300 chip. The notebook looks nice with a pretty screen. Vista is running great on it and the 2 Gigs of RAM seems to be enough for all regular work.

The case seems to be durable and the 200GB 4200rpm HD, although slower that what I would like, doesn't seem to be lagging at all.

I like the lightscribe DVD writer. I was able to make some nice prints on lightscribe media.

Relatively speaking. this model was hard to find in stock and took me a couple of weeks to finally get it.

Strengths: One of the first Intel Santa Rosa laptops, big HDD, option to play music, movies, pictures without booting up Windows, design, feel, integrated camera & microphone
Weaknesses: Battery life could be better; would be nice to open the laptop with one hand; a 4th USB port would have been nice too
Summary: I've been waiting for quite a while to get a new laptop because mine is already too slow and my HDD is full of music and picture files. I had my eyes set on the Asus G1 (before the Intel Santa Rosa came out), however it was always above my price range and it seemed quite flimsy and uninspiring design-wise when I checked it out at a store. I'm really glad I waited for this laptop, since it's really feature-rich at a great price. It has one of the top new Intel processors (the new Centrino from Intel, code name Santa Rosa), big HDD (200GB, however Vista only takes some 20 odd GB so you end up with 150GB--I didn't expect this at all!), built-in camera & mic. The option to play music, pictures and videos without booting up Vista is really great. It's like a DVD player that can play audio & picture CDs! I think it's the only computer that has that! It is also designed well: sturdy, yet not too thick or heavy. It's a bit awkward that you always have to use 2 hands to open the laptop since the magnetic snap is quite hard, but at least it's hard for it to open accidentally while you're carrying it around & it doesn't have a latch, so it can't just unsnap accidentally. Also, I think it's the best deal for the price currently given the features. All in all, the best laptop I've seen for months.
