Weaknesses: I GET THE SENSE THE Ni-cAD BATTERY IS NOT USER REPLACABLE ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS. THAT CONCERNS ME.

After shaving with tradational razors for MANY yea ...

Strengths: Great Shave, Easy to clean, VERY egronomic, Charges pretty quick, and the LCD displays shows remaining charge in minutes.

Weaknesses: None - REALLY !!!

Summary: After shaving with tradational razors for MANY years, I decided to give electrical razors a try - I had nothing to loose, as most of them come with a 3-4 week return policy!

As warned in the instruction manual, I did have some problems with shaving for the first 1-2 weeks - they said it happens because your skin takes a while to get used to this new method of shaving.

But, after the harsh period, it was smooth sailing from then on - the razor is very comfortable to hold and use, charges pretty quickly, and the LCD indicators display the remaining battery life, and also tell you if the blades need to be cleaned!

I took a look at the receipt and coulnd't believe ...

Strengths: Excellent product: high quality and very reliable, great design too.

Weaknesses: Absolutely none.

Summary: I took a look at the receipt and coulnd't believe I used it for so long. Yet, eveytime I use it, it feels like a new thrill. Very well built, solid reliablity. I actually get more minutes per charge now than when it was new but that doesn't matter that much. Very clean, close shave - silky smooth mechanism which doesn't produce much noise.

I let it run down its batteries every 4th or 5th charge and prior to shaving I use Norelco's razor lubricant, makes little difference but it's actually good for the razor's heads.

I was very tentative to switch from blades to an e ...

Strengths: No more shaving cream, cuts, or razor burn. Quick and painless cleaning.

Weaknesses: Rechargable batteries are the old "memory" type".

Summary: I was very tentative to switch from blades to an electric razor. I have very sensitive skin and am prone to razor burn. After much research I decided on the Norelco 6885XL and after 2 short weeks I couldn't be happier. No more cuts/razor burn. No longer do I dread the process of shaving. The price may seem steep but Mach3 razors for 5 years + shaving cream = Norelco 6885XL. I highly recommend this product.
