Strengths: Crisp, clear, sound. Quality product. Like in-line volumn control
Weaknesses: Not sure where extra bass effect comes in.
Summary: I had a pair of the MX500s for two years and was really happy with them- sound quality is way better than what comes with iPods. I saw that Sennheiser came out with this new model that touts some added bass features. Although this is an all around quality product, there is very little added bass effect from the MX500s. The sound though does seem a bit crisper than the MX550s and this is a very minor knock for a very solid product. I'm very happy with both models and give it a 9/10. Great product for the price.

Strengths: 1. Small Ear Bud Type especially for the one having small ears. 2. Excellent InLineVoume Control
Weaknesses: May be pricey, since I have seen people comparing this one with a panasonic one for $12.99 Case not so stylish at this price, was expecting something great.
Summary: I have been using ipod 5g with regular white ipod headphones(not in-ear ones). I found that they are good but not great so was looking for something extraaa .

I tried couple of them both in-ear and the regular ones bud type. I tried couple of in-ear (apple and sony ones) but I did not like the concept of something going in ear canal so I was looking for some decent bud type. I tried couple of them ranging from $5 - $25 from Sony, KOSS and I stuck to Sennheisar MX550.

Some of the good things I like about

1. Comparatively good sound output at lower volume level.

2. Excellent Inline Control with Slider Type and Not Step Type.

Strengths: Very good quality, clear sound - bass and treble.
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: Had these for a while now, and they are very comfortable to wear, these replace an ageing pair of Panasonic earphones, and what a difference in sound quality.

Arrived well packaged, I also like the in-line volume function. Works will the my 2G and new 5G ipod.
