To avoid any camera shake or vibration, the handle provides the basic controls you need. A solid performer, but shop around as you will that the price varies a great deal between camera stores. Many will sell this accessory at a premium since it is often bundled along with expensive equipment priced as a loss leader. 100% of People (15/15) found this review helpful. Weaknesses: The unit does not have the same feel as the original. The crank handle to extend the elevation of the camera base does not feel as sturdy as my original. Additionally, the connector does not seat firmly in the receptical in the handle. It keeps fallin Summary: A workable substitute for the original. However I do not have the feeling of confidence it will last as long as my originall which has given outstanding service over the last three years.
