Strengths: Totally awesome !!!
Weaknesses: None that I have found.
Summary: After my old Sony finally frapped out, I searched the reviews for a replacement. The 5800 consistently came up as awesome. I couldnt find one locally, so I bought a high end Onkyo. It sucked wind. So I returned it and took a leap of faith and bought the 5800 (sight unseen, sound unheard) over the Net. From the moment it came, I was impressed. The box was VERY heavy. The set up of the machine and remote was detailed and meticulous but straightforward if you followed the directions closely. Other reviewers opined to the contrary, especially concerning the remote, but I had no big problems. When I turned it on, the sound was AWESOME. The richest and most natural I have ever heard. It breezes along without even breaking a sweat under very demanding conditions. Outstanding engineering, superlative sound, I cannot say enough! Would buy again without ANY hesitation.
