Strengths: Better Strength. Great connectivity, still connected from the time I connected first(37 hrs.), no disconnection.
Weaknesses: A bit too bulky, Some software manipulations!! Read the comments.
Summary: A college grading: 90-100: A, 80-89: B, 70-79: C etc.

Well if 0-100 is "A" You always get an "A". That's the trick this Adapter plays. Whatever be the signal, 23% or 80%, it displays "Excellent". Dont get decieved by the "Excellent" strength the Adapter utility shows. It is always displaying "Excellent". Even it overrides the Wireless Zero Configuration and you cant see the reality unless you start the Wireless Zero Configuration. After many shots when I was able to Start the WZC and guess what?!- only 3 bars out of 5 were Green!!(other gives even low - only 1 or 2 bars green) That is not "excellent". Even, when you see the status of your network, the grading is missing. The program is made to hide the grading(poor, good, very good, excellent etc.)so that you feel its always "excellent".

Even after this much I'd love to forward it as a beter adapter than anyone else. I've been using D-link, Linksys and Netgear for quite a while and of course it is so far the BEST(having better signal Strength) and better than Linksys!!!! The 6 DBi Antennae is doing the work. Its good, and Recommended. Go for it!!! if you need one.

Strengths: Very good signal. It works for desktops. You don't need a wireless card.
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: The speed of my wireless connection is so much faster than what I had before, thanks to HWU54D. And the best part is that I didn't need to plug anything in my desktop. It's easy to install and it works great. I'm planning to buy a laptop and I'll get a second one for the laptop. The signal is very strong. It never disconnected.

Strengths: improved strength plug & play (usb 2.0) easy to install works in any windows and mac!
Weaknesses: No problems with it, but is kind of Big, comparing with any other of its competence.
Summary: I love this antenna, it's so powerful, requires no external power adapter, signal strength is improved from its old model/version. I use to have the Netgear w121 and wasn't connecting good, so I bought this one.. and no complains by now.

Strengths: The antenna dramatically boosted my laptop's ability to pick up wifi signals--not just from my apartment but from down the block.
Weaknesses: You have to spend some time adjusting the location and direction of the antenna to best pick up the sinal.
Summary: I would buy this again without question. The antenna did exactly what I was hoping. I can pick up wifi signals from another room in my apartment, as well as public access signals from down the street. Every time I move the antenna I pick up different signals.

Strengths: - Excellent signal strengthm proably because of having a real antenna instead of some tiny thing sticking out the back of your PC under your desk in a corner - simple to install
Weaknesses: Takes up a little desk space if that's a problem
Summary: What can you say? It connects nicely to my 802.11g network, with good signal quality. It looks reasonably attractive and seems well-built. Doesn't have "speedbooster" or whatever, in case you care (I don't).

Strengths: Looks cool, excellent signal strength, usb 2.0 a big + for me
Weaknesses: Wished you can do more then just moved antenna up and down
Summary: 2005-07-06 16:46:24 I had no problem getting this to work in XP. With USB 2.0, and a Linksys wireless-G access point. It uses USB power, so no extra hassle with a power supply, and it's very small and can be mounted on wall. Had it up and running in 5 min.

Strengths: Signal improvement
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This product is great. Using it, I was able to increase considerably the range of my wireless network. Previously I used the wireless card included in my HP Pavilion notebook.

It is great that you have better control using the included wireless network connection manager (although I think it might be a little hard to use than the default program supplied by Windows XP). Unfortunately that program cannot manage my other network card.

I strongly recommend this product.

Summary: very good software up and running very quickly, picked up greater channel strength on many sites and located many sites very quickly I would highly recommend this antenna The only neqative I see is the size and the head only to be able to tilt up and down

Strengths: has good range; usb 2.0 connection; easy connection
Weaknesses: haven't found any weaknesses yet
Summary: This was handy for my desktop that didn't have any PCI slots left for a wireless NIC; plus it gives me more range than just a normal wireless NIC. The high gain antenna is a very good feature.

Strengths: 6db, fantastic range, easy to install
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: Highly recommend. Great product.

Audience: everyone who has a need to extend the range of the existing wireless network. The network adapter works with both 802.11b and 802.11g routers and access points.

Installation time: less than 5 minutes

Installation: The installation process is simple. Software (CD is included) has to be installed before using the product (as recommended in the product’s manual). Next step is to connect USB cable to the computer and point antenna to the nearest wireless router/access point. You will be browsing the Internet in no time.

Strengths: Excellent reception. Exceptional signal strength.Very portable.
Weaknesses: Wish the cable is longer.
Summary: 2005-08-24 09:30:40 This is the best wireless adapter I have found at a price

I can really afford. The signal strength is excellent.

It picks up many more networks in the neighborhood beside my own. The best part is its portability:Size is so small I am able to take it along anywhere without a problem. I

got the best value for my money.

Strengths: picks up and mantains connection with weak signals has good speed you can mount it with included hardware 6 ft cord attached.
Weaknesses: installation and software a bit weak. you need to aim it. it uses some cpu because it's usb.
Summary: 2005-07-06 20:36:38 I bought this network adapter along with different linksys 802.11g for testing. this is the only one able to pick up a signal without me having to mount it outside. it isn't plug and play; i had to reinstall the driver after unplugging it. weird. it is directional so you do have to aim. you can use the software to figure out where you get the best signal. overall i'm very happy with it

Strengths: The Best Wireless Card I have ever seen and used! Excellent Signal Always! Nice design and very adaptable to Laptops or PC's with a USB 2.0 port.
Weaknesses: NONE
Summary: I was hesitant to try a USB wireless connection as I've always used Linksys Cards. I bought this after reading some of the reviews and checking the price comparisons and decided to purchase it. AM I GLAD I DID! This USB adapter will mount on the wall or set any where you like. Just aim it in the general direction of your WAP and you have a 100% signal all the time. Never a dropped or even fluctuating signal. EVER! My access point is through three walls and covering about 45 feet. I have a better signal with this set-up than I ever thought possible after using the Linksys products for the last few years. I've never had the signal or speed on my wirelass lan that I do now. Try it yourself, you'll see. I am still using the Linksys WRT54G router with it. I am actually glad my antenna mount broke off my Linksys card now.

Strengths: Incredible reception, found instantly, works great!
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This USB wireless g network adapter works perfectly with my Linksys router with WEP encryption. Plugged it in, installed the drivers and I was up and running. I live at the end of my street and pick up 4 networks in the neighborhood with 25% signal strength. Not to shabby!
