Strengths: Has an Eight Inch Display, 800x600 Resolution, 128Mb Internal Memory, Lots of Memory card options, and the Mosaic View option is AWESOME!
Weaknesses: By using a USB mini cable (NOT INCLUDED) you can connect it directly to your PC, but if you have Vista...the internal memory is touchy and likes to play hide and seek. No sound available with movies.
Summary: I am very pleased with this purchase. I bought this for my girlfriend’s office for her birthday and she cried at the sight of how thoughtful she said I was... and then when I plugged it in and turned it on, she balled her eyes out after seeing that I took the time to put over 50 pictures of us over the past couple years.

This Photoframe is very useful. It reads files from the major memory card styles, and you can either leave them on the memory cards and view your photos from there or copy them to the internal memory to view them without using the card. Alternately you can connect it with a Mini USB cable to your PC and copy photos over to it just like a jump drive. It also has the ability to show Movies in the AVI & MPEG formats...but I think it’s useless without the ability to play them without sound.

The Picture quality is GREAT. It will shrink photos larger than 800x600 to fit, and will also stretch photos that are too small. Even when using the mosaic feature with your pictures, every photo is vibrant and the clarity is so detailed!

Worth EVERY cent! A MUST BUY!

Strengths: Price, decent quality, good resolution, can accept different types of memory cards
Weaknesses: Have to get used to the controls
Summary: I've had my eye on digital frames for years. I always thought they were poor quality and very expensive. In the early days some frames made you pay a monthly service fee which was even weirder.

Well, things are changing as technology evolves and I have to say that the quality of this digital frame is great and price is good and constantly getting better.

When looking for a frame I highly recommend paying close attention to the resolution, not just the screen size. A higher resolution screen will make your pictures look better. This model has 800x600 resolution. I've seen many displays of digital frames over the years at lower resolutions and larger sizes they've always looked bad to me. But this one looks nice, so this resolution and size is a good sweet spot.

There's a ton of options and you'll want to go through the manual and get used to the controls. I only use an external card with this frame and never used the internal memory as it's not worth it when you can throw in a 2gb SD card. The mosaic mode is nifty, and keep in mind there's no audio on this thing, but I wasn't looking for a model with audio as I didn't need it.

2 Star ReviewPretty much an expensive piece of crap
Strengths: Good resolution
Weaknesses: Controls are not intuitive.....no support......will not save rotated or zoomed pictures.
Summary: Very disappointed. Advertises a rotate function. Yep, you can rotate one picture but cannot save rotated or zoomed pictures. Controls work about half the time.I would NOT recommend this too expensive, poorly designed, can get cheaper ones that have as good a picture, better controls, and perform as advertised.

Strengths: Beautiful high-res screen. Mosaic slideshow. Supports every major memory card format. 128Mb internal memory is welcomed.
Weaknesses: I can't figure out for the life of me how to customize the slideshow. Back to reading the manual...
Summary: I was hesitant to buy this frame, but after I saw it in Best Buy, I knew it would be perfect for my mother. It doesn't come with any crappy remote to lose and it doesn't offer any weak MP3 functionality (both pluses in my book). It does its thing and it does it reasonably well.

3 Star ReviewDecent Picture Frame
Strengths: Bright, high resolution (800x600) screen. Ability to randomize pictures. Takes various memory cards.
Weaknesses: Viewing angle not the best. Controls take some getting used to. Can only load to or delete from internal memory 1 picture at a time. Inability to properly rotate picture within frame.
Summary: After reading various good reviews, and after Best Buy dropped the price before Christmas, I bought two of these for gifts. I do like very much the bright, high-resolution screen. Unfortunately, the viewing angle is not the best...you almost have to be looking straight on to get a great picture.

I like the options, in particular, the ability to randomize pictures and select transitions (including random transitions). However, the controls take some getting used to.

The Mosaic feature is "neat," but I wouldn't use it because the individual pictures are too small.

I like the internal memory, but it takes a long time to load because you have to do it 1 picture at a time from a memory card. Wish the frame came with the USB/mini USB cable.

In order to get the proper picture orientation, you must do this in the computer, before putting on the card. Wish you could do this inside the frame. It's just a slight bit of work for me to do this, but for my elderly parents, it's more work.

I'd give it a 3.5 rating if possible. I would buy again, if I could get it again for the price Best Buy was selling it for.
