Strengths: Price; sound quality; style/design.
Weaknesses: (Minor weakness) controls.
Summary: Plantronics has consistently GREAT sound quality and it's affordably priced. This unit has a more discrete style/design than many others, which I prefer over the bulkier, more obvious over-the-ear styles. The boom is short, but surprisingly effective at picking up your voice and not a lot of background noise. If, like me, you have small ears and wear glasses, over-the-ear styles will always be hard to fit well. (I don't care for earbud styles, so I was extremely pleased to find this unit.) Though it requires a few seconds of coaxing for me to get it to sit squarely over my glasses and my ear, this unit fits me better than just about any other. I'm not adept at subtle controls without labels, so the volume isn't as easy for me to adjust. None of the controls are overly complicated, so once you understand the simple sequence of button-holds and light queues, it gets easier. Overall, it's a fantastic value and quality is excellent.

Strengths: design, comfort, quality/robust material
Weaknesses: battery life only 1/2 capacity after 1 year
Summary: this is still my favorite headset for the design, easy to use buttons, robust material, it fell many times on hard, wet floors and still works, but the battery only last 1/2 of it's capacity after 1 year. will be replaced with the 510 model that i just bought.

Strengths: Good signal and battery strength. I got it for $36 shipped, which is a good deal.
Weaknesses: Noise made by a lose plastic button while walking. Plus, it's quite big (especially the 'antenna' part that sits behind your ear).
Summary: The button that lets you pick up or hang up a phone call is somewhat lose. If you are like me walking back and forth while making phone calls, with every step you hear a low but distinct noise made from the lose button. I had to take a piece of scotch tape to stop that annoying noise. The button still works with the scotch tape affixed to it. In addition, the multi-purpose button that is on top of the device is hard to operate. It usually takes me two to three tries to even turn it on or off.

Weaknesses: Has to bond with phone each time either device is powered off. Not a big issue.
Summary: Easy to use, comfortable fit, clear on both incoming and outgoing. Has to bond with phone each time either device is powered off. Not a big issue. Inexpensive compared to Motorola unit, friend bought the Motorola device and they work about the same.

Strengths: Distance, battery life, clarity
Weaknesses: people I am talking to say it is static"y"
Summary: I love this new bluetooth headset, I am always on the go and doing something that I need to use two hands. The piece fits comfortably over either ear and is very easy to use; i set up the voice dialing thing and it works like a charm. I feel like I am living in the year 2040 or something. Great product

Strengths: Low Price, Decent Fit, Boom style mic
Weaknesses: Ear piece fits a little awkward in ear
Summary: For the price this is a good headset. I purchased for my wife who is always in the car. The headset is almost invisible on a woman which is good if you want to wear the headset at work or not be noticed. This is a good headset for such a low price, but I just purchased a Motorola 810 and it performs remarkably better although it is twice the cost.

Strengths: Good value/price, clear sound, good distance, comfortable.
Weaknesses: somewhat larger than other headsets. NO carrying case!
Summary: I have been using the Plantronics M2500 bluetooth headset for two weeks and have no complains so far. Battery life seems to be good, but then again I am one that charges his phone and accessories frequently.
At first I was somewhat troubled by the bulky design, but must say that it is comfortable to wear, even for extended time periods.
I no longer are using it since my wife has taken a liking to it as well, and that for itself speaks for the product. She is very picky when it comes to gadgets. I will have to get me another one, while the MIR is still available.
I highly recommend this headset.

Strengths: Very Clear and does not creat echo which some of the other bluetooth head set does.
Weaknesses: voice become distorted if the phone is more than 15 feet away.
Summary: I would highly reccommend this phone considering its clarity and no echo.
Also it has a stylish design and smaller than other headset.
The problem is voice dial which nees a lot of practice before you can even use it.

Strengths: Excellent reception, clear as a bell, easy compatibility and volume control, light weight and comfortable fit.
Weaknesses: None that I have noticed.
Summary: Highly recommended. Definitely the most comfortable and light weight Bluetooth headset on the market. Instant compatibility. Super easy to pair, turn on and off and adjust volume. Sound is crystal clear.

Strengths: Good design. Light weight.
Weaknesses: Mic too senstive
Summary: I like this because of the price and design. It's design is similar to Jabra, but it only costs 1/2 of it. However, the performance is about 1/2 of the Jabra as well. I use it for Skype. The person on the other side can hear what's playing on my TV. The mic is just too sensiitive. Other than that, its a great headset. Very easy to pair with my computer and works great with Skype.

I have not used this headset for phone use, so I ...
Strengths: Compact, easy to wear
Weaknesses: Signal strength, PC functionality
Summary: I have not used this headset for phone use, so I cannot comment on it for that particular use. I bought this to work with my Thinkpad laptop, both for audio and to use with voice recognition software.
I got this to work with my laptop's audio output, but the signal would cut out very often. In addition it never worked as a microphone, and while there was some indication that a signal was being sent it was very weak and certainly not clear enough to work with voice recognition at all, in any way. Furthermore, its range was severly limited, only 8 feet at most. And again once is dropped the signal it had to be reconnected with the laptop software again.
So all in all I am very unhappy with the money I spent to buy a good USB bluetooth device and this headset.
As a further warning, if you intend to buy any bluetooth devices using SP2 for XP, beware. SP2 will try to install its own drivers and you have to manually delete them before installing anything WIDCOMM.
Get a USB headset with a long extension cord if you want to use a headset with a laptop.....

Strengths: Small and Compact to use
Weaknesses: None Noticed So Far
Summary: I am using this with my Blackberry and have found this to be extremely effective. It works absolutely fine without any disturbance or crackling. I would suggest this to everyone for using with phones. I don't think this is meant to be used with computers.

Strengths: Lowest price of brand-name Bluetooth headsets. Functionally A-OK.
Weaknesses: Quite uncomfortable.
Summary: Setup, pairing (FYI: with a PC not a phone) and feature set are all perfectly acceptable and comparable to other products. My primary feedback is simple: compared to other Bluetooth headsets that I have used (specifically the Jabra FreeSpeak 250) this device is very uncomfortable in and on the ear.
--Audio input and output quality: Fine.
--Bundled software: Fine.
--Ease of use: Fine.
--Desire to rip it out of one's ear with a screwdriver after 10 minutes of use: Yes.
If you will not be using the device for more than short stints, it may be worth the cash savings for you. If you value ergonomic fit, however, this unit will bother you.
I do recommend the Jabra 250 mentioned above. Unfortunately it does cost nearly twice as much, but the comfort level is worth it to me.

Strengths: I've used it up to around 30 feet away from my phone!
Weaknesses: Turning it on and off and learning how to use the buttons was kinda hard to get used to.
Summary: 2005-08-13 11:57:26 Overall, the headset is exactly what I expected as well as a little more. I just bought it for my new cell phone, but found that I can also use it for Skype online and just as a headset for my bluetooth enabled computer as well. I know I got the better end of the deal.
