Strengths: Price
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I picked this up for "free after rebate" and it come with 3 licenses which is great. The interface is clean. The scanner is fast and doesn't slow down my system. It also has some System Optimizer that found the weakness in my sercrity settings.

 junk software Strengths: no strengths
Weaknesses: horrible software
Summary: This software is not recommended if you are considering to buy an internet security software. It is as bad as Norton, McAfee, and Computer Associate. It hung up my computer after installation and I had to remove it without using it just for 1 day.

 Not Too Shavy For the Price Strengths: Very Affordable without the need for update rebate, Offer a variety of functions
Weaknesses: Slow Down System Drastically, Doesn't really stand out on any specific task
Summary: Overall this is a very good buy upfront without the worry of trying to find a previous version (update rebate), or a competititor disc (such as norton or so). It's a nice attempt of Iolo to go into the all-in-one business. However, it still lacks behind big time compared to powerhouses Eset and Kaspersky. They are definitely the one to beat when it comes to solid and complete suite. For free after rebate, it's definitely worth it, however, I am not too sure if I would actually pay full price for this though.

 Decent for what it's worth Strengths: It's cheap
Weaknesses: Trying to do too much, slow down system
Summary: For what it's worth (Free After Rebate), it's an ok product. I wouldn't recommend it though if you actually have to pay for it. The 3 licenses are nice to have but overall this software try to do too much. I am never a big fan of all-in-one suite and this, like Norton and Mcafee before it, completely bogs down your system once install. I think it should just pick one strong suit and stick with it.

iolo System Shield Internet Security
Strengths: Doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but has the most important functions at a reasonable price.
Weaknesses: Nothing outstanding that would differentiate this from other competitive products.
Summary: There is nothing especially compelling about this security software as compared to other brands. However, if you are looking for a product that covers every major security function at a decent price, this may be the product for you. It does an adequate job with the basics such as virus control, spyware prevention and firewall functions. The package includes an easy to follow start-up manual to get you started.

weak security suite
Strengths: easy install, good price
Weaknesses: slow, not very good at virus detection
Summary: 3 PC license, with a very good price, free after rebate from buy.com. It was easy to install and easy to update, but the scan speed is average at best. It is a smaller program than Symantec or McAfeee, but it virus identification rate seem to suffer. the online support is OK-ish, but hard to get a live person. Not fully recommended.

no name, decent antivirus solution
Strengths: small memory footprint, 3 licenses included, free after rebate
Weaknesses: no experience with previous versions of Iolo SSIS , but System Mechanic 6 was junk; relatively slow
Summary: easy install and on line update. Small HDD and memory footprint compared to McAfee or Symantec products. So far so good, firewall and antivirus seem to do their jobs adequately. Scanning speed could be better (AVG and NOD32 are considerably faster)

Strengths: Low cost, multiple PCs
Weaknesses: Sometimes freezes
Summary: I did not have any virus protection on either my new vista desktop of XP laptop, so I decided to buy this software. I had not heard about IOLO, but as I was getting it for free after MIR, went for it. I had no problem installing it on my desktop with windows Vista. I was surprised to see that there were two viruses on my desktop which is hardly a month old which this software successfully removed. I then installed it on my laptop with windows XP OS. Even on my laptop there were 2 viruses which this software quarantined. But, my laptop froze once while the virus scan was going on and I had to reboot it. Otherwise, I have been happy with this software and I would recommend it. I now see how important it is to have at least a basic anti virus software on my computer

Strengths: works with efficiency
Weaknesses: not find yet
Summary: I never heard this software before. The majority internet security is dominated by several well known softwares such as Norton and McaFee and Kaspersky. However, after I try this guy, it seems that they are doing good job as well. It runs efficiently, as occupies as much as Kaspersky.

iolo internet security
Strengths: it declares to protect over 500,000 virus and threats.
Weaknesses: Not so efficiency
Summary: I tried this software to replace my old Norton Internet Security. Based on my experience, both are not sufficient to keep high security for the machine. There are always some virus appearing even with those softwares. Maybe it is a common problem of all security software.

Summary: i cannot say for long-term stability of the software. however, so far( 1 day) it is providing my laprop with bread-and-butter basic antivirus protection.i am dissatisfied with significant slowing down of the computer. good thing is that the software is compatible with vista

Strengths: All in one package. Runs quietly in background.
Weaknesses: Nothing major.
Summary: I liked it overall. The hourly updates are nice, but can be a pain if you're in the middle of something. Free support is nice. It also is compatible with Vista.
