Strengths: Overall graphics incredible.
Ipod works flawlessly showing album art.
Sirius Satellite operation incredible
Weaknesses: the remote sinks
Summary: This is the best deck I have ever used for the ipod, bar none.
However, the engineers who designed it did not have either a budget or the time to perfect this model, because some key and necessary elements of the ipod are missing from the controls.
For example, typing in a search keyword is impossible, as Alpine does not have the feature integrated into their system, instead, you must navigate through each menu manually unlike with today's 5th generation ipods.
Also, sound controls are very limited, as there is no equalizer on the system, except for Bass, Treble, and the actualy subwoofer. I would have liked a little more control. In addition, there is a fader and balance adjustment.
Other than that, if you desire the best possible ergonomic option for ipod /auto integration, this is definetly the way to go.
Update: I discovered the preset EQ options, but they are still underwhelming, but if you aren't a control freak, then it should suffice.
