Strengths: great creepy atmosphere, good voice acting
Weaknesses: can be hard at times
Summary: MANHUNT 2 is a third person stealth/ action game for the PS2. U play as Daniel Lamb, a researcher who is suddenly fired from his position and placed in a mental institution. All seems lost until a voice inside ur head begins to speak to u and giving u directions on how to get out of here and survive. The voice’s name is Leo and u see just how deadly and terrible the institution and its staff really are. Thus begins the sneaking around and the killing. If u have played the previous Manhunt, then u know the mechanics and game play of this game. Since u are grossly outnumbered and unarmed, taking on ur enemies head on is foolish and suicidal. Instead, u should be stealthy, remaining in the shadow and striking them when their back is turned. U have a great number of deadly implements to utilize, such as hammers, knives, and glass shards. Later on, when u start getting chased by gun-wielding soldiers and mercenaries, u can find ur own guns to use against them. The game has so much shooting at times, it felt as if I were playing Max Payne instead. But it is still pretty satisfying destroying ur enemies. My one complaint is the fact that although the game is already rated “M”, and brags about the gory and deadly executions it has, u will not see any of them, unlike in the first Manhunt. The executions are censored with a screen filter , so u can only hear what’s going on and not actually see it.
