27909EE1 Cordless Phone (DECT 6.0, Caller ID, Speakerphone)

Strengths: Flat, digital clock, speaker phone with clear sound, convenient handset keeping charge for hours

Weaknesses: No stainless steel at all, limited memory for messages, strange buttons, options going from right to the left

Summary: This phone is pretty convenient if you do not get lots of messages. I've been using its speaker system and it worked perfectly. The digital clock always shows time which helps at night. I was gonna purchase an additional handset because my previous phone was getting discharged quickly so I was switching back and forth from one handset to another but so far this phone is capable to let to you talk for hours.

Strengths: No static on the line. It's attractively styled. Fits into my kitchen decor both in color and sleek design. I wanted/needed a wall phone and this suits my purpose well.

Weaknesses: The instruction manual is A)poorly written, B)too cumbersome, c)difficult to understand and follow directions, d)a pain in the aspidistra to hold. Most annoying.

Summary: I'm really, really glad that I got this phone. The reception is very good, the styling suits my decor, it's portable so we're not tied down to one location, and it's on the wall so it doesn't take up counter space. As soon as I get someone to decode the instructions for programming, etc., I'll be all set. People who write instructions should remember that not everyone has the same knowledge base and simplify the language and directions.

Strengths: retro style, digital clock, clear sound

Weaknesses: imposibility to turn off the rining feature, lack of memory of the phone book, complicated manual

Summary: I would say it's not the best phone for the price you pay but it works fine for me. I placed it on my shelf bellow my monitor because the design of my bedroom would not allow to put it anywhere else but after all I realized that this phone is good and very convenient to use. I can see digital clock any time I wake up at night. However it's very inconvenient for me that I can't turn its ringing off and sometimes it wakes me up when I sleep very deep and I really hate it. I just purchased and extention for this phone to place it in another room. We'll see how it works.

Strengths: DECT 6.0, style, functionality, user interface and performance.

Weaknesses: Registering separate handset(s) problematic. Tech support doesn't know the product very well.

Summary: We have had great experience with GE phones given price to performance, quality and long-term reliability. This product, the GE Kitchen Phone and its accessory handset (for other room), are very contemporary in styling, feature rich, and perform extremely well. At installation, the accessory handset would not register to the base station (main phone), and this required resetting both phones.
