Strengths: Compact, self-contained design, light, good quality sound.
Weaknesses: Bluetooth issues, cryptic LED signals, tight fit.
Summary: The design of these headphones is very nice and the sound quality is excellent (I am not an audiophile). Pairing with my Treo750 was easy, but not quite so with my Dell D420. Not all controls work with all devices and programs (behold the non-standard Bluetooth standard, not entirely the fault of Motorola or this particular product). LED signalling is a bit complicated, but learnable. They are designed to pinch the head at the point of sharp curvature, and I find this irritating after more than a half hour or so of use. However, I think this is a good choice for those who want no cords, no pendants, and no dongles.

Strengths: Lightweight, nice sound, waterproof
Weaknesses: price, tight fit, buttons take getting used to, phone calls only in left ear
Summary: I have previously owned the HT820 Moto..you've seen them, the big ugly ones that make you look like Princess Leia, the heavy, uncomfortable ones? Well the S9 is a total departure from those. The S9 sound almost as good as the 820s but not as much bass. They are much lighter and fit better, although they still pinch you around the ears and temples. You can actually wear them upside down and they feel great. The buttons are tough to use but you will get used to them eventually. I don't like the fact that when you make a phone call through the S9 you only get sound in the left ear. The HT820 gets a stereo phone call. The S9 overall is a better headset for everyone!

MOTOROKR S9 Cell Phone Headset (Bluetooth 2.0) not so good
Strengths: form factor is very comfortable (for my head). Read some complaints about hurting ears, etc., but only experienced after wearing for several hours. Ear/Mic quality excellent. Battery life acceptable.
Weaknesses: Volume control & Mic shorted out on me with in 2 weeks of ownership. Used under normal circumstances & moderate work out situations. Useless for communication can only use as a wireless headphone.
Summary: Would not recommend buying this product for it's "sweat resistance". Product does not live up to this claim any more than any other headsets out there & may be worse in this regard. You would think it would work based on how it looks, but no. Making shoddy products like this is the reason Motorola is going out of business. It does work exactly like you'd want it too (form, function, etc.) until it shorts out.

Noo.. What junk....
Strengths: Sweat proof...
Durable..
Weaknesses: Low volume...
Controls unusable....
Summary: What a disappointment. No surprise coming from Motorola though. What was I thinking? This headset’s volume is too low to be useful in a noisy gym, or anywhere where there is ambient noise.
The controls... The controls.. I don’t know how it made it out into production this way. The two main function buttons are surrounded by touch sensitive Volume buttons one one side, and the FWD and REV buttons on the other side. So whenever you go to pause music, or answer the phone, you inevitably end up either jumping to the next 3rd song, or turning down the already too low volume. I am returning this thing tomorrow.. Avoid it, watt for the next GEN. The Logitech FreePulse is a much better buy...

MOTOROKR S9
Strengths: Intuitive controls, Comfortable fit and lightweight, great sound quality.
Weaknesses: Headphones only perform well indoors.
Summary: Motorola included a small paper with the headphones that said when using the headphones outside carry your Blue tooth enabled device in "The Optimum Bluetooth Zone" (UH Chest pocket). DOUBLESPEAK!! The truth is if you are outdoors the headphones skip and lose connection constantly. When carried in a pants pocket the headphones skip almost every step. Putting your device in a chest pocket only slightly improved performance, especially if you are active (i.e jogging or biking). Any skipping at all is infuriating while listening to your music, and more so when you just shelled out $70+ clams. I will say that they worked great when i was indoors or in a car. However being outdoors and active are what headphones are all about. If you ask me is is immoral that motorola sells these very expensive headphones without any reference to their poor outdoor performance. WEAK!! WEAK!! WEAK!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

Strengths: clean design, hands free no string
Weaknesses: wireless stereo: always 2-3 seconds pause in a middle of a song when listen to mp3 so annoying
Summary: if I can just listen to music w/ out the 2 sec pause would be a nice purchase! don't recommend this till new version w/ bugged fix. everything else works fine

Strengths: flawless...does what it says..Its great for working out at the gym. Also, I bought the kyocera mini headphone bluetooth adapter for my Archos, and its great.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I use this mainly to listen to music on my MP3 player and its great. Everyone comes to me and ask where did i get those cool headsets from. I would recommend this headset to anyone. Once I told my friends about this product, they started buying it.

Strengths: good sound, comfortable, easy to pair with bluetooth device
Weaknesses: Cost
Summary: Overall these headphones are of high quality for those seeking good overall sound. These headphones are durable but flexible for comfort. Included are several earpiece adaptors.
I have a pair of very expensive (Shure) wired earbuds and the S9 sounds just as good. Best bet to browse online to find your best price. Can find for less than the list price.

disappointing
Strengths: light weight
Weaknesses: MP3 doesn't work with the KRZR
Summary: Ridiculous. This is an expensive headset and it doesn't play music if you use the new KRZR Motorola cellphone! Unbelievable! Motorola, get your act together will you? Also, the KRZR was released way too early. Imagine. This phone doesn't work with the S9 but lg's and Samsungs and Nokias do!!!!! Go figure.

Weaknesses: 1) Working distance is less then other bluetooths devices I have;
2) the size doesn't fit my head right (S9 is too small for my head - they should've make different sizes)

Strengths: The icombi from Oakley is only $49. Combined with the headphones nice and compact combo. Sound is very good. Volume is not a problem. Easy setup. icombi connection to ipod works with case on.
Weaknesses: Center buttons a little hard to find.
Summary: Can change songs and answers my phone. The headset is very light and no cords to connect from ear to ear like the Etymotics. I like the in ear comfort rather that the ear muff type of headphones.

good product but design can be improved
Strengths: good sound quality for music and phone
easy to operate
Weaknesses: not foldable
microphone catches all ambient noise when talking on phone
Summary: fit is o.k. and holds well while running. But not adjustable for snugger fit.
One or two hinges to make it foldable would make it much more portable.
sound only works on one side during phone operation (guess to mimic using a handheld) but I rather have audio on both sides...

Strengths: No wires - stays in ears while running
Weaknesses: Range
Summary: I have to wear cell phone on belt directly behind me so that it is close enough for the headset to pick up the signal. (This may be a function of my phone not kicking out enough bluetooth signal, so I don't blame Moto headset completely). It would be nice to be able to have my cell phone sitting in the jogging stroller though, and not have to worry about the music cutting in and out.
