Strengths: Improves the sound quality for both parties as I drive with top down in convertible....
Weaknesses: Size. Also, based on other recommendations, I bought jabra mini eargels and they work great...
Summary: So, I was excited and skeptical after all the reviews. As expected it arrived and works like a charm. I suspect the next generation device will be smaller in size (at least I hope). Otherwise it works great.

Highly recommend AAA+++

Strengths: Light, comfortable to wear, excellent sound quality
Weaknesses: Buttons are strange (concealed under casing), volume adequate but should be adjustable higher
Summary: I have owned a wide variety of Bluetooth headsets (about 10 in all), and overall I find the Jawbone to be the best. It's light, rests comfortably on the ear, has excellent sound quality (provided you have it correctly positioned) and very good range.

Pairing the Jawbone was simple - it was detected by my BlackBerry and was working in minutes.

Using the headset is just like any other Bluetooth device. The one very odd implementation is the buttons, which are positioned underneath the casing, so you are actually pressing on the casing to get them to function. This has a strange feel to it, but fortunately you don't need to use these very often.

Like others who have reviewed this product, I bought the Jabra eargels to use with it. Unfortunately, even with them I was unable to find a tight fit in my ear; however, simply resting it on my ear works fine and fits comfortably. I am not thrilled with the volume, but this may be because I am unable to get a tight fit with any eargel.

People I am talking to report excellent sound quality. I also like the fact that I can stray away from the handset and still get good reception - with most BT headsets, once you are 15 feet away or so the reception degrades rapidly. With the Jawbone, I have gotten as far away as 25 feet before hearing a noticeable difference in reception.

Overall I consider the Jawbone an excellent earset. If not for the few issues I have mentioned, it would be a '5.'

Strengths: Noise cancellation technology is the best. Stylish look. Excellent call quality. I don't have to raise my voice to talk!
Weaknesses: Talk button is sometimes hard to press. Can't change the volume unless you're actually connected to a call. There are no seperate buttons for volume increase/decrease. Cycles from low to high.
Summary: This is my third Bluetooth headset, and is by far the best I've used. Let me first say that I have put the Jawbone's noise-cancellation to the test and it passed really well. I have talked to people and left long voice mails that I could listen to and I was amazed. I have talked on this: next to a busy highway, while vacuuming, watching television, next to my car's horn as it was blaring, while talking into the fan of a noisy central air unit(with my face one inch from the case while it was running), and a bunch of other places. The thing that I do notice is that when you are talking over a particularly loud/higher pitched noise,(especially vacuuming) my words are understandable, but has a "fuzzy" sound to it. Also, while watching television, the television can be heard in the background at lower levels.

The true test, though, was talking to my mother and friends on the headset inches away from a busy road during rush hour. They did not notice any traffic noise, even after I pointed it out to them. I do not know if the headset has some sort of noise cancellation for the earpiece as well, because I had no problem understanding them. Usually, I'd walk about 50 ft. from the road and have to press the earpiece to my ear and plug the other one just to kind-of hear them, and then they couldn't understand me well and I'd just end up switching to the headset. I don't even have the Jawbone's volume at the highest setting. Wind noise isn't much of a problem. In my experience, most of it gets cancelled out.

Even in a quiet room, I would have to speak louder than normal to be heard well. When I talk to them on my Jawbone they typically can't tell that I'm on a headset.

The headset has a nice look and feel to it. I have larger ears, but my canals don't fit the typical round earbuds that many headsets use, which cause discomfort. Thankfully, this comes with different shaped earpieces with one that fits perfectly in my ear. This also weighs slightly more than my previous headset, but the distribution of the weight across the cheek makes it feel lighter. Oftentimes, I would have to take out my old headset after talking on it for 20 minutes because it felt uncomfortable and heavy. With the Jawbone, I've spent 4 hours talking with it and not had any discomfort.

This is by far the best headset I've ever used. I've seen this priced as low as $69 at some online stores. Which is quite a value if you can find it. After using my Jawbone, even at $120 I think it's worth the money. I normally don't rave about products, but this one has been just fantastic!

Strengths: Noise reduction, looks great, not as fragile as it looks
Weaknesses: Not perfect out of the box, requires modification to make it work well, not the smallest, a little harder to put on
Summary: The noise reduction really works. I find that it is an ideal pair to the iPhone in noisy situations. It's not the sexiest design anymore; Apple's Bluetooth headset probably takes that award now but it works perfectly for me on the freeway with the top down and the windows up, frankly even with the windows down. There is really nothing out there for better noise reduction. I think the silver is very appropriate for a work environment, better even than the red (obviously) or black (which tends to stand out if you're light-skinned). A Google search will show that many Jawbone users "modify" their Jawbones right away and I can't agree more. The funny thing about the Jawbone out of the box is that people can hear you better than with any other Bluetooth headset but out of the box, you can't hear them. Why? The included rubber earpieces are terrible. So you go to Hello Direct and order the Jabra MiniGels, Part #13059 for $5.50 (www.hellodirect.com/he...)

For $5.50 with free shipping, you simply pluck the old rubber gel off and screw on the Jabra you prefer. The longer one is very comfortable, slides into your ear a little bit, and funnels the sound right to you. It's the best "accidental" modification I've ever seen. The install is self-explanatory and the rubber tips must be standardized or something because they fit perfectly. The credit goes to someone else but other users report this combination is so stable, they can even take the securing wire off. I keep it because it just stables the earpiece even more so that I can move around very actively with no problems. Just slide the hook on over the top of your ear and there you go. It pairs automatically with my iPhone so for those of you with one, it works ideally with minimal fuss one you have Bluetooth on and the two paired.

Strengths: Good sound volume on the receiving end, works great in the car, long stand by time, and very easy to pair with the iPhone
Weaknesses: ear loops make it hard to het a snug fit, they break easily, and definitely no the smallest or lightest headset.
Summary: I have certainly had my fair share of bluetooth headsets over the years, and after watching the video on the company's website I thought this might finally be the one. When the headset is positioned properly, it is very easy to hear the person you are speaking with - far better than my Motorola H700. Previoiusly, I always had complaints while driving that the other person on the line cannot hear me well. With the Jawbone, i can have the radio on, windows down, or the air conditioning going full blast and people still only hear my voice.

The volume is a little tricky to adjust on the headset itself, but I found using the built in controls on the phone much easier. Beware of the range of this headset. The other day I left my car walked into the restaurant and half way through my conversation it switched back to the headset - which of course was still in my car.

The only gripe I have is with the earloops and trying to get a good fit. I had one loop break already, and finally resulted to using some of the Jabra eargels. Picked them up at RadioShack for $5 and worth every penny. Without the eargels I would have sent this headset back.

Strengths: Excellent outgoing sound quality. Sleek design. Great signal quality. Good noise filtering.
Weaknesses: Comfort of the earbuds. Incoming sound is a little "tinny" compared to my old Motorola and Jabra devices.
Summary: I ordered two of these; one for myself and one for my wife. It's more pricey than some of the others but it's worth it. This is the best headset I've ever owned.

The noise filtering doesn't seem to work quite as well as the video on the Jawbone website, but then I've never had to use it around a leaf blower or weed whacker. It picks up wind, but is better in wind than my prior devices.

I don't like the earbuds because they can tend to be a little uncomfortable, but I may not have put on the right one yet (it comes with four different sizes/styles). I read another review that recommended using a Jabra eargel thing instead and may try that.

The signal strength is superior to both Jabra and Motorola headsets I've owned. It doesn't suffer packet loss (and stuttering sound) in the short few inches between my hip and my head like the Motorola did.

Strengths: Excellent tone quality, the noise cancellation is unbelievable and does function as promoted.
Weaknesses: Controls are a little awkard to get used to and ear buds while servicable, could be better.
Summary: The jawbone was purchased primarily for the noise reduction due to useage in a daily very high noise level environment of a suv and automobile repair facilities. While it took a few days to get used to the slightly different profile of the unit, it has been quite comfortable and once I became use to the switches also easy to operate. Does it work? Many of my customers sometimes accuse me of being in the office rather than on the road since I have changed to the jawbone. Before customers would often tell me to call them back later and or they couldn't hear me for the noise. The voice tone quality is much better than the 3 Motorolas, Nokia, and Platonic bluetooth headsets previously used and then coupled with the amazing noise reduction without the typical loss of volume or echo chambers, makes the jawbone worth the extra expense. If fact we just purchased another unit (Christmas present) for a very good friend that has vehicle noise level problems as well. It will be nice to hear and understand him at a normal voice level.

Strengths: Sound quality, noise limiting, charging options, appearance
Weaknesses: Fit and size
Summary: This is my 3rd BT headset so I have tried and failed to receive the advertised benefits from a Cardio700 and Palm Treo. I pair to a Treo650 so that in itself is a problem. This headset delivers in reception on both ends, I can hear them and they can hear me. While background noise is less of an issue, it still can be heard by some. Most importantly, the headset must be in the correct position for optimal noise cancelling effect. This is where the problem is for me. My ears don't take the standard "earbud" headsets. They just don't fit! I tried each of the earbud adapters and earloop adapters and none really fit that great. One works well, but was so painful I couldn't wear the headset, so for me this is the greatest issue. You might have a more "normal" ear and it would work just fine. When the headset is in position, it does do a great job! If I had a more comfortable earbud adapter, I would give this BT headset 5 stars.

Strengths: looks fantastic incredible range great noise canceling (usually)
Weaknesses: hard to get it to fit right earpiece a little fragile
Summary: This is the only headset I've ever had people come up to me and tell me how great it looks. Also, if you get it set on your ear/jaw just right, the noise canceling is awesome. Finally, the range is easily double or more anything else I've ever used. On the other hand, people say that my voice didn't sound very good; getting it adjusted snugly in your ear and on your face takes some doing sometimes; the wire in the earpiece tends to snap if you bend it wrong (happened to me and a friend). At least, their customer service replaced the broken ear loop right away. Tough call to make whether it's worth 3 times the price of most other BT headsets.

2 Star ReviewJawbone Wireless Cell Phone Headset - Silver (Bluetooth
Strengths: Clarity of sound - both receiving and sending is first class.
Weaknesses: Terrible fit into the ear.
Summary: I very much appreciate the sound quality, as did those I called using the jawbone. It is noticeably better than other bluetooth headsets. The problem, which to me is significant, is that none of the supplied, sized rubber ear pieces actually extend into the ear when worn with the over the ear harness. Even when I jam the ear piece into my ear it always pops out. That means that to hear effectively I must hold the earpiece to stay in my ear, which completely defeats the point of "handsfree" - especially important when I am driving. What would cure this is probably a combination of a different over-ear harness, with a longer ear channel capped by a rubber piece that fits snugly and comfortably in the ear - like what Sony and Shure use. A pity about the fit, because the sound is wonderful.

3 Star ReviewExpensive and marginally better
Strengths: -Unique look -Comes with multiple earloops and adapters to customise fit
Weaknesses: -Marginally better sound quality considering price -Difficult to fit properly -Heavy and insecure feeling
Summary: I purchased this based on the recommendation of my brother who uses it almost constantly. Considering the price I do not notice a significant improvement over the sound of the much less expensive ($22) and more comfortable Plantronics unit that this was meant to replace. It also took well over an hour trying to find the magic combination of earloop and adapter to fit and after it was fitted about as good as I could get it, including some slight twisting and bending of the wire earloop it still felt insecure and the rubber adapter that fits into the ear canal did not provide a good sound seal. The problem is compounded by the fact that the earloop is lightly spring loaded to press the sensor against your cheek but this has the side effect of tending to pull the adapter out of the ear. This is likely the reason that I feel the sound quality is not what it should be for the price. Additionally, the material that the earloop is made of is very stiff and apparently a bit brittle since one of the earloops broke near the end when trying to fit it. I am going to attempt to fit the earloop a little better than the fit that I have now and give it another chance but it would be better if the earloop was of more malleable material to allow the user to fit the loop better since, as they note, everyone's ears are different. On a usability note, my old headset made a sound when you lost signal, the Jawbone doesn't seem to do that. I found that particular feature of my old headset very convenient and miss it on this one.

1 Star ReviewDOA :( Cautiously select the merchant you choose.
Strengths: Not sure it was broken when I received it.
Weaknesses: Not sure b/c I got a defective unit.
Summary: I would not question the Jawbone so much as I would the merchant. I don't think this merchant sells brand new unopened products. I believe this Jawbone was used to some degree. I don't spend $100 on something to have it arrive in nonworking order. I don't recommend this merchant, can't really tell you about the product. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Strengths: The best headset I have ever used for sound quality, clarity, and loudness. Shields out background noises. Good looking.
Weaknesses: Terrible fit on ear even with multiple ear pieces/buds. Proprietary charger means having to haul around TWO at home, work, and in the car.
Summary: I have had a cell phone since 1992, but wouldn't use a headset until the BT models came out. I have own several Motorola's, all top-of-the line, and they couldn't come close, even when paired with Moto phones, to the Jawbone in sound quality. It gets loud enough and yet is still clear. It isn't perfect by far...getting it on your ear is a major pain; it isn't a headset you can just slide on with one hand in a hurry. Once on, it isn't bad. I hate the charger...now I have to have TWO chargers everywhere, one for the phone and one for the headset; and they don't even offer a car charger yet - the place you would use it the most? The buttons are hidden, but that sometimes makes it difficult to push. And there appears to be no way to put one call on hold and answer an incoming call via the headset. I don't want my negative comments to discourage you because I think the most important purpose of a headset is the sound (and to look cool, ok, I said it) and for that it is top-notch. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fit and charger.

3 Star ReviewGood but....
Strengths: Functionally superior. Great sound. Callers can hear me with my window down while driving.
Weaknesses: Terreble design. The black peice on the end broke of the first time trying to take it out of the charger. I have had several friends experience the same thing. It still works but it look terrible.
Summary: I like the look but is it very poor quality from a manufacturing stand point. very dissappointed. Functionally however, it is top notch. I bet they have seen a lot of returns due to this design problem.

Strengths: Ambient noise suppression technology really does work well! It's a terrific product.
Weaknesses: Sometimes difficult to get on the ear and get a good fit.
Summary: The Jawbone is a product that surprised me with its performance: It actually DOES what it says it will do. The noise suppression technology provides for very good sound on the receiver's end, with no background noise interference, even in very noisy environments, like street traffic or crowded places.

It sometimes is difficult to fit on the ear, so the ear clip design could be improved.

But its sound performance is five-star worthy.
